Just as I am falling asleep ( about midnight) MisterG comes home and tries really hard to be quiet, but there's no way to be quiet enough for someone who's almost, but not quite, asleep. So I wake up and he comes to bed. Then I wake up at 2 am and then again at 6:30. Then I hurry to get ready and miss by a mile. I realize I'm going to be late to school. I turn on my cell to call my friend to open my class for me and there's a message from his wife that he's sick and they need me to do a lesson plan for him. I get to school as the bell is ringing and his sub is standing there wanting a lesson plan. So I scramble, find a classroom set of a story, get out blackline masters for the story map, handwriting practice, and questions and send a student to copy....ARGH!
