lol, ask certain vegetarians but seriously, totally different texture and if you're put off by the smell then the fish isn't fresh enough. Good fish doesn't smell as it hasn't had time to, look for clear eyes, bright coloured scales, lack of odour and your on your way to food heaven.

I've never seen a Mrs. Paul's fish stick with eyes...

peach schnapps
Bailey's® Irish cream
grenadine syrup

Edit: The red is grenadine. But you could substitute Triple Sec for the schnapps.

Contreau or Archers
Baileys
Poor a little Grenadine down the side

For those that like their cocktails so sweet you can feel the sugar crystallise on your tongue!

A variation on the lumpy drink theme is the squashed frog (Using Advocar - or however it's spelled!, creme de menthe and grenedine).

Last job was still 'warning' new employees that I was a witch two years after I started there. Needless to say I haven't even let my new coworkers know about that little detail after one of them told me "When you get married your husband will make you clean." and looked at me like I had grown arms out of my head when I declared if that were ever the case, said husband would find himself sleeping alone. I don't think they're going to get used to me.

So how did you find your little personal pocket of the dark ages?

Where do you *live* anyway?!

"Make you clean"...

Did we forget to wash behind our ears this morning?

Yeah, I'd just not mention the religion, and possibly not overdo the crystal jewelry and stuff until you've got the lay of the land.

Or moved.

All you can do is be you, and if they don't like it to hell with them.

All it means is that they're missing out on getting to know one awesome person.

I found a job that draws a lot of immigrants. Staunch Catholic Mexican women with upwards of six children and a serious doormat complex. Sad but true. Though it isn't limited to them by any means. The one other caucasian girl is pregnant and talks like a classic dumb blonde, and really isn't any better than the others when it comes to waiting on menfolk.
And the menfolk who work there have a less strenuous and less hazerdous job to do, which I find very unfair.
As for old job, I don't know what was up with their traditionalist attitude and fear of anything outside their sphere of experience. Maybe there's just a lot of people like that.

Just north of the bible belt.
Quote:

The work kind of precludes jewelry of any kind, so at least that isn't a concern.

I wasn't sure how to take that. "your husband will make you clean"? As in:

A) Your soul no longer full of garlic (Grinch reference).

B) Have a sincere fondness for Windex.

I'm guessing, based on the evidence of intolerant moronic subculture, that "A" would be the answer. If so, be exceptionally kind to them close up. Then give them glares from a distance.

If it is "B", squirt them with Windex.

Regardless, turn to Dresden for relaxation.
