For the grill or a relaxing baseball game. My favorite is Thummans dogs up in the northeast. But my second favorites are from eastern North Carolina mainly Wayne County pork products. Lets see go with Stevens red hots, Carolina Leaf, and Jesse dogs. They remind me of carnival hot dogs. Pig ears, floor scraps, and lard yummey. I left out about 10 more favorites so please name em and some joints in your area. The south loves chili dogs with slaw. Its a mess to eat but good.

Blech! I'm partial to Hebrew National in hopes of leaving that stuff out.
But I do have fond memories of living in Atlanta and hitting the Varsity downtown for some chili-slaw dogs. Two of those and I couldn't eat for 2 days!
Plus the dogs at Braves Stadium were soooo good (while they still served 'em with grilled onions).
I guess my weiner-love isn't as much a "what" as a "where".

I got the pic from the Gastonia Grizzlies minor league baseball website. They are Red Hot Chicago dogs I believe they get some of their stuff from Jesse Jones Company out of Raleigh NC.
I was waiting for Nathans their good, the foot longs. Usingers of Milwaukee is another personal fav. Sabretts and Hebrew National is more summer goodies. Can't forget Kunzler. I've heard Miller's is good too. I know I've left out quite a few really good ones. Montana makes real good hot dogs. Top of the line chili dog sauce would be Tony's out of Cleveland, Patterson's chili out of Sanford NC and Bunker Hill hot dog chili. God only gives you so much time so make sure you eat good.

Nathan's makes a good dog, but there aren't any near me here in Alabama. If I want a good dog I have to go to Sneaky Pete's. If you get a Polish Sausage from them, it's better with the Sneaky Pete's sauce on it than a regular dog, or get a footlong Junkyard Dog, which has the chili and slaw and sauce that you were talking about. Alas, I am on a diet (-20 and counting! Woohoo!), so my dog intake is going to be severly curtailed this summer, but I will have some.

(I would feed some Fx executive dog to my friends' German Shepherd, but I don't want the ASPCA after me. I am Forsaken, but he's a nice doggy.)

So who is he?
He's my husband.
Well who in the damn galaxy ain't!

I like The Flying Weenie in Cedar Rapids, IA. I think they use Nathans Hot Dogs, but they are damned tasty.
