aw thanks RIMG...

Dr. Egon Spengler: Oh good, you're here!
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yeah, what have you got?
Dr. Egon Spengler: This is big, Peter, this is very big. There is definitely something here.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Egon, this reminds me of the time you tried to drill a hole through your head. Remember that?
Dr. Egon Spengler: That would have worked if you hadn't stopped me.

Um MSG.... remember when the conversation was about at what age did you realize that you were a geek (or some such)?

being able to quote every line in Ghostbusters would fall into that.

LOL thanks Kelkhil but you're giving me way too much credit...I'm using IMDB memorable quotes. Though I do know a few as it's my dad's favorite movie and I've seen it dozens of times.

Hooray for MSG and her "completeness".

So there is this poster in my bosses office that has a story of an old man telling his son of the two wolves within us and the constant battle between them. One is anger, hate, jealousy, all manner of bad things. The other is a representation of happiness, joy, contentment, all sorts of good things. When asked who wins the battle the old man replies, "Which ever one you feed the most."

I've read it before, but today seems to be the day I can't get it out of my head. Which one am I feeding more? I abhor the angry, jealous feelings that have popped up lately. What's more disturbing is the fact I can't accept that I am having those feelings.

I hope this makes sense beacause I'm really confused over so much lately.

hey RugBug. how's your world?

more Ghostbusters:
Venkman: So you think there's a link between this Viggo person and the slime?
Egon: Is the atomic weight of Cobalt 58.9?

Venkman: Hi, Egon. How's school? I bet those science chicks really dig that large cranium of yours, huh?
Spengler: I think they're more interested in my epididymis.

NV- feelings aren't rational, which is why they are feelings. You cannot truly control feelings, but you can look at them, figure out why you're having them, and find a way to balance them:) HUGS I hope this helps and all...

I've been trying to trust my feelings more but everything meets such utter disaster that the idea of trusting them is next to zero.

It just seems that spending so much time not feeling really f'd with my head and heart so much. I'm not saying life isn't worth living without the ability to feel, but the quality of life has reached a point of suckage that I can't even comprehend.

(hug) NV. From where I sit, from the content of your last two posts...something needs to change, and it needs to change soon.

You need to figure out if your life belongs where you are, is further afield, or is somewhere not even named yet.
You need to figure out if GND and/or anyone else you've contemplated is what you want. If so, persue. If not...find someone else.

Hugs to you, but continued tail chasing on your part will only lead to continued dizziness.

You are at the age where you need to make some decisions about where you want your life to go.

Wish I could help you married women, but there's nothing to report. Conjecture leads to these conclusions:

1)Photographer never mentioned anything
2)She did, he think I'm WAY too old.
3)She did, he's flattered but not interested
4)She did, he's interested but shy and waiting for next encounter.

I'm putting my money on #2 or #3. It's not big deal, though. Haven't seen him for a few weeks, so the flush of possibility has faded. Maybe I'm just fickle.

I did get a haircut yesterday that apparently makes me look years younger (what kind of compliment is that? ). I actually got bangs: I haven't had bangs since high school. And these aren't those type of bangs. According to my stylist, they're "sexy Heidi Klum" bangs. Heh.

So, while photo-boy is MIA, I'm feeling sexy and sassy with my Heidi Klum bangs.

(Whines) But I don't wanna grow up.

I've wanted a family of my own for quite a while but have recently asked a very important question.

WTF for?

I don't have any answers. All I know is that alot of life threatening things have long past and seems to have taken something with them. I honestly doubt my capacity for love and that ain't good.

(Light bulb) I think I'm having issues with a lack of co-dependants. There is really no one that needs me right now. Everyone is taken care of or taking care of themselves. Somehow I feel unneeded and unwanted. How fudged up is that? There should be some relief and a sense of freedom, shouldn't there?

Well, since ya asked so nicely....

Out in the squinty sunshine:

and at my desk. Please note the pile of files behind my right shoulder...I need to get to work! But more importantly, the Serenity logo in the upper right hand corner of the shot.

Not really Heidi Klum sexy, but a girl can try. That GND (no relation) image trys hard to overcome any hint of sexy-ness. To it salute .

While age is just a number, I can't blame the guy. I get freaked out when a man 10 years older than me is interested...and that's more socially acceptable.

Actually it's the Administrative Assistant job I already have with some added responsibility (staff supervision, on-call rotation, can lay smackdown at appropriate times). There is no real pay increase (okay it's actually about a dollar an hour more ) for the amount of work involved.

Program Manager (formerly Program Director). I'd quit before taking that job. We've had five since I started. That roughly averages out to less than a year and a half of employment. The job drives folks nutty.

Might seem time to start looking around at other employment possibilities for the coming years.

As for age as only a number, well, not everyone feels the same on that one. I can tell you personally that it doesn't matter to me.

Mavs - LOL, too funny

NVG - Congrats, man! Go get yourself a new piece of paintballin' gear or somethin'.

EDIT: MsG, I don't wanna hear it from you too. True, bangs don't work for everyone (personally I don't like them except in rare cases) but you've still got it going on.

We're switchin', aren't we? 'Cause I have a desire to be all dark and mysterious. Petite would by a nice change as well.

I think I actually like no bangs me better. But I do love to change it up. My co-worker was commenting how I change my look (usually meaning hair) a lot. I never thought about it, but she's sort of right. I get bored with having the same style for too long. This is actually my favorite (but it was always unpredictable as to whether it would look good or not):

Get your ass to CA and show 'em how stupid they are.

(They're not that dumb...I'm just not the easy to approach. Shy and defensive is a hard combo to break thru. One of these days I'll figure it out. 'Til then, the men of fff.net make me feel loved. )

NVG: Awesome news! A buck an hour for social work is a HUGE raise. Congratulations...be sure to celebrate like a man with no responsibilities.
