Thinking about getting a firefly tatoo. What should it be?

I'm actually considering my first tatoo and I want it to be something honoring Firefly/Serenity. It will be small, most likely on my upper arm.
I was thinking about the Serenity logo as seen on the ship or perhaps the chinese or mandarin symbol for 'serenity'.
Any other suggestions?

Were I in your boots that's probly what I'd go with...'course, there's always the Blue Sun logo...seems like there'd be at least a dozen or more possibilities, but I can't think of any others yet...

All writting in Chinese regardless of the dialect is the same. I would honestly protest against Serenity in such small lettering.

Just to get the "fatherly" thing out of the way, I'd suggest sitting on the tattoo thing for at least a couple months to see if you really want to do it. I just mention this b/c at one point I wanted a tattoo and sat on it for a little while and I'm thankful that I didn't go through with it.

But, If you really want something from the show, I'd suggest something that that isn't obviously FF/S i.e. stay away from Firefly Rules! and such things.

I'd also suggest to find something that is _not_ colour. Those tend to fade after several years and need (expensive) touching up.

All that being said, the Mandarin symbol for Serenity is a good idea.

But, if you're going to get any Mandarin done, I'd suggest going down to the local Chinese cultural center (or the local Universities Language Department or...) to get the symbol(s). I've heard of several instances of people /thinking/ they got a symbol that said one thing, but it meant something entirely different and you definitely do not want that.
