You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

We reached the mandate after the 'tender had gone to bed, so I borrowed his keys (*g*) to open a new bar. Named after my current favorite drink, I hope y'all like it as much as I do.
The old one is here: http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=28909

*sets out a chilled Dew for HK and a coke for Penguin*

*sips her tea*

If you insist!

And pop, and grind and down and spin and puff and pant...

Please can I stop now?

Hello lovely people. Give me a minute to catch my breath from the vicarious firsties dance and then I should like a big drink! With an umbrella and lots of fruit sticking out. Possibly a sparkler too. I'm in that kind of mood!

That's funny, because I've been listening to Shakira all day, and before I left on errands I danced until my sides hurt. That hip-centric dancing is not easy.

Wanders in, peeks around. Heads over and vaults the bar gracefully. (Yes, I know there is a little entrance for the barkeep, but this is not official tending)
"I'm just holding down the bar 'till The Shirtless One arrives. So, what can I get you?"

Realizes she's talking to herself. Opens a jar of olives and starts tossing them up to see if she can catch them in her mouth. Nope. Goes to look for a dustpan. Knocks over the jar of olive juice, grabs a bar rag to wipe it up, gets her apron caught on a beer tap and ends up halfway to upside down with her foot in the sink. Sighs and waits for a rescue.

Cans. CANS of Dew, never bottles.
Bottles have plasticizers that react with the chemical make-up of Dew in some subtle ways, which results in a distinctly different flavour that cannot hope to match the sweetness of canned Dew, no matter how chilled it may be.

Hee... um... me?
Yeah, pretty much the same: trying to think of how to most favourably waste my time.

I always tend to panic the day before I have to go back to work, because the day can never be long enough. And so comes the panic, desperately trying to find something to do before the day ends, and in so panicking, inadvertently, my time slips by faster and faster and before I know it, the day is done and I face another wretched week at work...........! It leads to madness. (And possibly the stabbing chest pains I've been having.) Every week.
*panics!*

Interestingly enough, I'm panicking a little, too. My panic is not totally unrelated to your panic, except that mine is more due to the lack of employment than the having to go back to work

Stabbing chest pains? Oh, not good

Tea?
Hmmmmm....
I once found some soothing tea at work. They have these nifty techno-secretary machines that make coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and expresso for you with the simple touch of a button. Green Tea, please. ^^

Unemployed? The detaily thingie no-go-good? 8(
I wish I could regale you with witty and wonderful stories that end with brilliant wisdom to impart about my part-time jobs during university years, but I really don't have any. I worked for the Milwaukee Public Museum one year... for an entomologist. He was an insane poof. I dallied away the hours dissecting nearly microscopic bugs, drawing pictures of them, and typing parts of his book for him. He had some of the most beautifully coloured (dead) bugs in his collection....... But the guy in the loft above me dealt with arachnids, and he would frequently come down the stairs to talk to me with an unreasonably gigantic, live spider on his shoulder. He was cute, but the spiders were a deal-breaker. It was fun, though, being able to wander around the museum and rummage through their vaults....

Oh! Hey! Not that anyone will care, but!
While rummaging through some of my things that I have in storage, I came across a beloved shirt that quite possibly lead to my online name, lo those many years ago...! Quite exciting. Really.

Okay, not really, but kinda-sorta. *Glee!*

Oh, rambly ramble.

Green tea it is
All I have are fruity kinds, but those are good, too. Honey lemon ginseng green good?

Bugs? Spiders? UGH! No!

Oh, yeah, detaily thingie. Well here was the thing... I was expected to work fast, I was expected to scrape things off with razor blades, I was expected to use a shamoo machine that got scalding hot and was made of metal. All of this done quickly. Then there was the bleach fumes. And the pulling me out in the sun to hose down the outsides with no warning and the ensuing burn... I just felt it was a bit hazerdous to my health. Especially after hearing the stories of finding mice and being bitten by spiders in some of the used units *shudder*

Not much excitement for my weekend. I bought a basketball and soccer ball on Sun and took the little one to the park with my Niece and Nephew. they played on the equipment while I realized that I am old. Shot around teh basketball for about and hour and I have been pretty sore. (my butt hurts).

I was hoping to take out the Pantoon boat but the weather never cooperated with me plans.

I figure I will be doing more fishing in the future though cuz the little one loves to go with my brother-in-law and I went with them once last summer.
