Morning all. I should remember not to sleep in so much on 3 day weekends. My alarm barely did it's job this morning.

Wedding report: no single hotties :-( there was an open bar. I had a glass of wine and a coke. I'm not a drinker dang it.

Whitefall: how do you feel about this girl? Cause in my experience kissing is only enjoyable if you really like the girl. Otherwise it does nothing for me. Don't know how long you've been seeing her or how into her you are, but maybe that's the reason there were no fireworks.

Mavs: weren't we supposed to get a report about hubby's new job by now? Did I miss it?

Oh I forgot all about Whitefall's question
Ok well if it was a first ever serious kiss for the both of you, it's probably the nerves and all making it less chemistry filled... I have to say you're kind of overthinking ( both of you) if she asks to kiss you and you plan it out after much discussion, you're kind of taking all the spontaneous and natural out of it and making it more a chore. Trying hanging out and while your cuddling just wait til it feels right and go for it!! That should fix the chemistry. There really should just be an overwhelming urge to kiss her and then you do, not a lot of forethought and planning...at least that's pretty much how I've done it.

Heya CMH. Glad to have seen ya drop in, (though it musta sucked seein' as there was no one around).

Jumpin' in fast like a freak. Did some figuring, traveling, training, and drinking all by my lonesome this weekend. It actually helped a bit. Will update as soon as humanly possible.

Thanks for remembering, Zeek. No...we haven't heard anything yet. Husband is getting frustrated as to lack of communication on their part; doesn't want to keep bugging them, but we need to know yesterday whether he's got a job or not!

So Husband contacted another (larger) company in same field, and they wanted to speak to him ASAP, so he interviewed on Saturday with them. Husband really liked company #2; now waiting for whoever calls first to get a job. (But actually is hoping company #2 calls first so he can tell company #1 to take a hike!)

I had to take a mental health break from my order entry while I eat my silly Lean Pocket. Busy, busy day at the furniture farm!

MsG, I'm surprised you get out of school so early! We get far less snow than you, but have school until the 14th. I hope the next few days speed by for you.

Hi NV! *hug* How are you?

Yeah but what day did school start for you?? Ours started August 18th...which is why we get out so early..Your lunch has much in common with mine.
Just got my final grades entered and verified. Now all I have to do is copy my gradebook and give a copy to the principal. Then finish cleaning my classroom and plastic wrap it all...while keeping the kids from going insane...LOL wish I could just let em be all wild and crazy, but I can't

Good point. We went back to school (I think) on the last day of August. Makes sense.

Well, I never did get to see that NCIS. Sister called, and she didn't tivo it like I thought. Oh, well. Maybe it will replay before the next season reopens.

Ugh, my body's having a hard time re-acclimating to Maryland. Forgive me if I ramble.

So how is everyone?

CMH! Glad you are back even if it's only for awhile. How long are you staying?

Regarding the statement at hand, YinYang put me in mind of Jeff Bridges in The Vanishing. *shudder*

Barney Cousins: "Look, I know you think restoring this cabin is a crazy idea, but what if it's not? What if I'm learning about myself as I go, realizing that if I can do this, I can do anything. So I take a step,I think is this crazy, should I stop?... Then I think, not yet, there's always time to turn back, if I want to so, I take another step... and another... and another... until one day I realize I've crossed that line... and there's no turning back." - during a monologue about himself jumping off the roof of his house when he was young just because he could.

Magda! I've only peeked at the picture threads of late (doesn't even qualify as lurking) so I'm always pleased to see you post here.

Now what's all this fluff about you saying something or hurting someone? I am pretty sure you are known in these parts and far and wide as the kindly sort not given to evilness (not even wanting to; not really. )

We has bapping hands and fisties here at the ready, awaiting the word from you.

Hello to all and sundry.

Whitefall, I won't be much help here as I've never had trouble enjoying kissing. Getting up the nerve to is a different story but that isn't what you ask. I yield to MsG. And I gotta say you're a lucky devil getting kissing lessons from her! If I said I was rusty, MsG, could I take a remedial course with you?

Hi Jimi. Behold the soon to be posted piccy of yers truly on the photo thread and prepare to be amazed!

I'll have to check it when I get home, as piccies don't work here anymore.

I do, however, have something to match whatever you posted.

We made an anti-aircraft gun from the pilot episode.

With cardboard.

And duct tape.

Cardboard and duct tape are the materials of the gods!!

I can hardly wait to see what was crafted!

I see that LA and Roxy had a Shindig of their own this weekend. Seems like everyone is "coming home" with even Traveler stopping by. Where the vex is VeX??

We have some members in South Africa, and they had a shindig this weekend too. :)

This weekend: I did alot of stuff. On Sunday I actually went on a long desert trail ride by myself. I know, it ain't safe to do so, but I did so back off! Anyhoo i climbed a mountain, ran some drills, and shot some of my empty tequilla bottles a about two hundred yards (no I was not drinking at the time). There are some things I was searching for associated with reoccuring dreams but I'll get to that later.

When I was almost home I actually broke out in tears. I passed a house that normally has a '68 Charger sitting out back and it was gone. That isn't why. Instead of the Charger out back there was a fella laughing and playing with a very small child. As he thew him into the air he looked as if he were handling the most precious thing in the 'verse. It just got to me. Aside from some hyperventilating and thoughts of having nowhere to go... I strangely felt better. I read my book and took a short nap outside under a tree after getting home. Later I cleaned around the shed and set up a makeshift heavy bag. Seems there are some muscles I haven't used for a while in need of a workout.

So after a few days of physical activity and the awakening of a few dormant parts I've made some small changes that might turn into big changes.

I will not be hanging out with GND for a while. She's tried to stay on my good side but for what reason? I'm guessing so she don't wanna lose my friendship. But I need a break. I still have to tell her, but it won't be that difficult. I can't keep going with these feelings of jealousy and resentment and she needs to know that. She also needs to know that I will not play backup boyfriend and will not compete for anyones affections. I feel we both have way too much going on to truly be friends right now.

So after a weekend of burning out feelings with exercise and mixed drinks, I don't seem to have advanced much, but it feels like I have. Time will tell I guess.

Oh well just makes D*C that much more important I guess.

EDIT: NVG - Good for you Bud! I am glad you have some "you time" and got to do at least a little soul searching. Obviously it has helped you with at least one decision to try and better your situation.

Sometimes a moment like that is the best thing that can happen to a fella. Sometimes I see people I don't know for just a few moments in the life they are leading, and it impacts me on a forever scale. Some happy, some sad, all of them worth crying for. Sounds like an excellent weekend to me.

I had to stop the data entry. I've been at this since 8:45 AM and my eyes are about to cross. And I'm only half way done! What a day. Thrilled for the designers...they've needed a weekend like this one, but the paperwork end of things is murder. I hope to finish tomorrow.

HUGS NV sounds like you got out there and gave yourself a chance to really think ...Way to go!!! Very proud of the step you're taking here. I think it's huge because you're finally thinking "what do I need" not what does everyone else need me to do/be/etc. WAY TO GO!!!

Mav- icky nasty inbox

I've been packing away, placing things in cupboards, cleaning, and removing bulletin boards, etc so I don't have to do it on the last day. Nice clean, if somewhat barren, room.

Jonny- I think you've mastered the concept...'sides which you have my alter ego to practice with:)

EDIT_ ok I am out for the night. Off to the gym and then tutoring..have a great day folks

G'night MSG.

Thanks Mavs (and Asian cat) for approval. I actually ran into her at the house while on my lunch break. Firstly I stated that I know I've been an ass lately, (to which she wholly agreed) before I went into the meat of it. Mostly I just told her that I can't be around her for a while. There are alot of things I'm going through and that I can't deal with them if she's around.

The whole time she seemed to have a "Can't move or I'll crap my pants" sort of smile. That is so confusing (at least to me).

So I did tell her that I have been having feelings of jealousy and resentment. Also that I shouldn't be having those feelings but do.

Blah blah blah. She pretty much had no input. She mentioned me not doing anything stupid (WTF do I do that is stupid) and that she is moving... right across the street from my work.

Shit.

ADD: Figured I'd start a new thread before it gets too late in the day
