Elephant beats keeper when meals late

A PAKISTANI zoo is appealing for donations to help feed its sole elephant, Suzi, which gets angry and beats its keeper with a stick when its meals are late.
"When Suzi is not fed on time it holds its master's cane in its trunk and starts beating him," an official at the zoo in the city of Lahore told the Daily Times.

The zoo was hoping philanthropists and schools would "adopt" Suzi and pay for its food, the paper said today.

"We don't have enough funds to feed Suzi and its expenses are more than our budget," said zoo director Yousuf Pal.

Zoe: What? And risk my ship?

That's pretty funny. Strikingly similar to the Simpson's episode where they put Stampy (the elephant) on a preserve because he's wrecking havoc. Stampy starts head-butting the other elephants on the preserve and when Lisa wonders why he isn't happy, the ranger explains "Animals are just like people, some are just jerks."
'Course, if he's not getting fed, it's pretty understandable.

"Well this is one of the crazier things I've heard today and when I tell you about the rest of my day, you'll appreciate..."
