I mean not everyone could have been at Serenity Valley, not everyone could have been on the losing side-why not bring some balance..Also the Operative in the movie was far scarier (using a warped sense of Justice and Morality to justify his actions) then any monster.

Quote:Originally posted by Stegasaurus: well, what about what Early (yeah, I prolly spelled it wrong) wore? I mean, he wasn't The Operative, but he was an operative, wasn't he? Granted, what he wore was more of an EVA suit than a uniform, but what's wrong with calling it one?

And Jubal Early wasn't an Operative, I don't think, though I think the characters are similar. I can see how the concept of Early evolved into the Operative in Joss's mind, but Early was a bounty hunter. A smart, intuitive, sadistic, scary bounty hunter with some obvious combat training, but a bounty hunter. I don't think he would have had the mental stability that the Operative program (whoever it may be run by) would desire. .

Do you know the person who did them, because I have two and think it is a beautiful piece of work. The one in my pic is for the cap and I'm repainting it in grays and silver to match the uniform. The funny thing is, the Operative did come off as belonging more on the show, because of the subtlety of his clothes and uniform. And I did like Simon's uniform as representing a nearly Parliment level inspector. Think Russian Generals and troops. The Russian generals had the flashiest, showiest uniforms while the common soldiers had uniforms that bordered on crude in the "Peoples Proletariet Army"! Mike

I have an "A" grade helmet that needs finishing and the shoulder and stomach pieces of armor. Now I need to find or cast a back piece. But oddly enough, my biggest challenge is that I CANNOT find the right color purple in a spray can! I have this horrible feeling I'm going to have to try having Lowes or Home Depot mix up a batch of paint to my cloth color sample and then airbrush it on. Mike
