i know there is probably a thread for this (i might have even posted on it) but what are your success stories of spreading the Firefly lore? so far i have gotton three friends to watch it (one in very high places). sorry there is no story behind them it was all just "Hey, you should watch Firefly" and then a huge "ok" from 'em all. tho i have had the worlds smallest Shindig a few days ago, just me and two friends. sorry, im rembleing

I've told this story before, but...
A friend was facing chemo and told he might only have a year. I lent him the disks for something to do while he was recovering. He said he'd be lying there feeling like shit except "This is the best television ever made. Wait a sec, I've got to watch that bit again."

He had a problem for a while where it was reminding him of the chemo but he's a Browncoat now. And, though not cancer free, his doctors told him he's going to be with us a good while longer.

So there you have it. Firefly cures cancer.
