Jeez, this Oregonian article is awesome. It's plastered over 2/3 of the front page of the Living section. Starts with the promotional photo of the crew on the bridge with the caption, "Don't worry 'Serenity' crew: Portland loves you." Next to the start of the article is a picture of "Buffy" playing at the Mission Theater with a caption explaining that "Firefly" will start there on July 10. The pull quote is me saying, "It's a weekend of Whedon. Who's not going to want to participate in that". A "fact box" gives the details on our screenings and the "Buffy" musical. And the continuation of the article is easy to find at the top of the back page of the Living section.

YES!!!
Again we shall rise!!!
(Forgive my fervor)
Still, this is shiny as all get all. Thanks for the info!!!

Could it have been something I said,
Or was it something that I did,
Did I ruin my chance, have you written me off?
Tell me, where did I cross the line,
And can I work my way back this time?
Will I always regret this decision...

THRICE RULES!!!!!!!!!

not to be snarky, but I'd be more impressed if I knew what the Hell a "PDX" is.

Oh.

OK.

There I go exposing my ignorance again.

When I read "Takes Over PDX", I thought it meant that Joss had just been handed the reigns of some movie or new TV series and I thought "Yay! Cool! Good for Joss!" I clicked the link and I was a bit disappointed.

Yes, it's good news and all, but still . . .

No worries, Xardoz.

It's great news for Bix and the Serenity screening in Portland. As you'll notice above it got great exposure in his local paper and he was even quoted.

The screenings = excellent press all over the world for the Browncoats. And we're doing good works.

I hope the PDX screening is a huge success!

Oh, dear, no!
The bun was engaging in a bit o' friendly
snark. A browncoaty leg-pull, as it were.

I have assumed that PDX was where Serenity
would land in Portland, should that become
necessary.

Kinda like LAX, SFO, SBA, etc.

But it was always so reminiscent of "PBX" that
I had to smack myself a little whenever I saw
it.
PBX = Private Business Exchange, that good ol'
switchboard we've all seen, or operated.

Thus the silly bit about the -- oh, say Private
Digital Exchange or some such.

My bad.

Now I'm totally red in the face.

I blame it on the shimmer wine you're always bringing out, FB.

Yeah. That's it.

At least you didn't read it too fast like I did and transpose FOX over PDX...

just wishful thinking I suppose...
