Saw this in Soap Opera Weekly yesterday. He'll be back playing "Joey Buchanan", the role that got him an Emmy nomination, for a few shows beginning on August 17th celebrating the show's 10,000th episode.

JWA, thank you for posting this. I've been awfully curious since I first heard the rumors whether or not he'd be actually doing this.

I'm not much of a soap opera fan, but I got tickled this morning when I told my daughter that if Nathan were to return to OLTL I'd have to watch it to catch up.

She laughed and said.. "You? Only for Nathan would you do this!"

She's right, but it'll be fun to see him doing something else.

Little A: Did the Snoopy dance all on my own, but more than happy to do it again with you! I've had some ups and downs, the usual life stuff, but I'm handling it best I can. How 'bout yourself? Hope you and your kids are well!

FollowMal: Not a OLTL fan either (tho' I love GH) but I'm more than willing to tune back in for some Nathan!!! Really shows what a good guy he really is, that he didn't forget where he came from. Makes me adore him more, if that's even possible!!!

I only remember that the cover had a section on the left side that listed the newly fired stars, the top being Natalia "Emily" Livingston on GH.

Sounds like the next issue because you would have mentioned this on the cover: The June 26 issue had on the left side ONE LIFE TO LIVE LOOK WHO'S COMING BACK pic of Nathan Fillion with FOR A HUGE EVENT written on it.

Oh my god, OLTL is where I first fell for Nathan, years ago, when I was only watching it because my mom was! In fact, when my now-ex was first getting me into sci-fi ages upon ages ago, the reason I let him talk me into watching Firefly was because, "Oooh, that's Joey Buchanan!"

I haven't even given OLTL a second thought in about, oh, two or three years, but Nathan reprising his role of Joey Buchanan is definitely enough to make this Browncoat start watching soaps again.

I remember the Joseph thing too, but I stopped watching regularly when Patrick and Marty left. Didn't have a crush on him though but I did consider him the only actor I ever took seriously in the role.

I would tune in after work sometimes just until GH came on, which was only about 10, 15 minutes at the most. I know there's been at least two recasts of Joey, one being a minister (!). Which leads me to wonder if Nathan will have a "Caleb" vibe when he shows up in Llanview...talk about creepy!
