I think everyone here has succeeded in winning over new fans. I claim my Father, my cousin, four or five friends and about half my work.

I got my sister into it, and I got myself! I didnt watch it when it aired cuz of the time and stuff (i had a class on friday nights) but i couldnt wait to see it cuz I'm a Joss nut! but now that I have the DVD's i've hooked my sister, (who wants to be Inara! i think that's funny) My neighbor Sara, and then here in the dorm I hooked Soliman my roomie (with Serenity! I showed him that one first and he liked it! take that fox!) and my friend Evan is kinda hooked on it. Soliman and Evan I also got hooked on Buffy and Angel! hehe. See what happens when people are exposed to the greatness of the JossVerse?

I had a set of the old DVDs that were burned last year by a loyal browncoat. I sent them to my brother who is now hooked.

I feel like a pusher.

I have successfully converted the parental units. And the wife (she made me put that in). She didn't really like it at first when we watched it on TV, but, I got her to watch Serenity when I got the DVD's and her comment then was "Ah, it all makes sense now!" and so on.

It begins!!! *evil laughter* Soon I will have an army of converts at my command!!! *evil laughter*

By the by, according to the personality test, I'm River. Can't tell why

LOL - the "parental units"? I've never heard anyone besides myself use that phrase. I guess insanity loves company...River. :)

I can't claim that I've converted my dad yet, but while watching a few episodes w/ him, he really got a kick out of a few of the lines. And yep, I've used 'parental units, dad unit, etc... ' for ages. Scary, huh?

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. Worked that out myself. "

My friend, Lisa Lamb-Griffon turned me onto the term. I've adapted it to 'spousal unit' to discuss the husband.
Lisa also informed me that a Ford Fairmont is a 'Squaremont'.

I knew I was gonna like this show from the 1st commercial I saw, but its so fun now that my whole family is in on it. Spousal unit and 5 offspring! Plus older brother. Well, the youngest doesnt really get it yet and my 7 year old isn't allowed to "watch" it in the sense of absorbing the whole story line. But we are all loyal brown coats and we quote the crew all the time. Just this a.m. my oldest son said to me of his younger brother "Yea, he's my hero" with only a touch of sarcasm I might add.

She understands, she doesn't comprehend
