...They got a direct to DVD movie made...I think this is exciting because this is a viable format for the future of the verse' I feel that if this is successful for J. Michel Strazinski (sp?) It may get the notice of Fox or Universal. *crosses fingers...and toes*

I agree GrayFury.

I'm excited by this and by the SG-1 direct-to-DVD movies and what this means for the future of many franchises, including the 'Verse.

I'm also encouraged by the "webisodes" of Farscape that SciFi has ordered.

The way that we see the entertainment we love is about to enter a revolutionary time.
I hope Joss and Universal see a chance in that revolution for our beloved ship and crew.

Maybe the sales of the Collector's Edition and how many of us take part in the UniHD board and watch the marathon on SciFi and respond will make a difference in what they think they can do with Serenity. If there are enough of us within their sight and they know we are actively encouraging others to fall in love with FF/S, maybe these alternatives will be a better avenue for them to think of investing in.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Agreed. I think that this venture by SG1 and B5 may very well point Firefly / Serenity in a new direction they may get us a sequel.

We can only hope and keep our ears open.
