I have been a Joss Whedon fan for years. I really got into his stuff after I dragged to a screening of Serenity when it came out. I was shocked that I really like a sci-fiction movie, and then I learned that it was written and directed by Joss Whedon. I love Buffy and Angel to death and was sad to see them go.

I was shocked to learn that Serenity was based on a show, and immediately went out and bought the Firefly DVDs.

I was just wondering who was out here on the message boards. I have always been wary of them, but of the browncoats I've met, I was hoping that this would be a good place to meet some new ones.

Howdy! I'm new myself, but loudmouthed, so I'll jump in with a welcome just the same. (I was welcomed in style, so I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't pass it on.) I've tried to get into boards on other things before, and the folk usually seemed a bit stuck-up, but Browncoats is live and let live, for the most part, so this place seems like home already.

As for the boards, my newbie advice would be that, like most things, the idea seems to be to hand Jayne a heavy stick and stand back.
