Well I haven't been tracking them specifically but lookin back over the numbers for the past 4 days we have: 57, 72, 124, 166. So it looks like they are pushing to stay in the 40. I was wondering if "Les Filles" was getting some "gratis" votes from other shows that have a bit of resentment for the way Jericho is leaping up the charts. Just wondering; I have no info about "Les Filles" and its fan base, but it seemed like they had all but given up. They don't need to beat Jericho, just get out of last place. (Don't be scared of the tiger if you are with someone you can outrun!)

I've gotta say, though... I've been reading posts on some of the Jericho boards, and they are a bunch of nice people. Even when they got caught with the auto voting and lost ~5000 votes, they were still very upbeat. (Of course, this was right after the show was renewed, so they WERE in an extremely good mood!)

Out of curiosity I did a full top-40 run using figures from just the past 3 days to see what Les Filles chances looked like:

40. (32) Les Filles de Caleb: 32248 (155) Will catch Hercules: The Legendary Journeys in 78 days (19 Oct).

From what y'all are saying they'll get taken by Jericho way before that 78 days are up so it doesn't look like they can save their countdown spot by catching Hercules first even at their current voting levels. If they can sustain the numbers for a while once they drop back down into the nomination pool though, they could get back in in a few months.

You are right; if I had crunched the numbers I would have seen this (duh). But I am surprised that if it is indeed a last effort by the Les Filles fans ... what took them so long?

Les Filles has a huge following in the French speaking world. It's considered a classic story of the French experience in early-modern (late 19th century) Canada. The DVD version came out a few years back. The 20 one hour episodes were shown again last year, and was seen in France before that. They got enough votes to get into the top 40, and may be able to muster enough to stay there. They have been under a hundred votes a day for as long as Firefly has been on a roll.

Not sure I agree - their weekly average has been sitting comfortably between 575 and 600 for quite some time. I think when that number pulls well over 600 will be more interesting.

They don't use 'sites', they use mailing lists. If you search, you can find them. The hard part is some of the lists are dead; and I'm not sure which are the currently active ones.

Jericho is at the top of the Nominations poll, with 28,055. They are generating nearly 600 votes a day, and have kept that up for weeks (in mid-July they had 18,000, on July 1 they had 11,469. At the end of May, they had 2,106, just below Drive (at 2,247), which was when I first noticed Jericho was in play. So, in less than three months, they have gone to the top of the nominations poll.

The bottom show on the top 40 is Les Filles de Caleb, with 32,248. This show has been picking up more votes lately, but has only averaged about a hundred a day for the last week. So Jericho has a net gain of over 400 a day. If that keeps up, Jericho will displace Les Filles by the middle of the month. Unless, of course, the French speaking fans of Les Filles mobilize to keep the show where it is.

Once Jericho is on the top 40, it will be easier to vote, and the fans might really get energized. They could get up to a thousand votes a day. Enough to make things interesting for the up and coming shows.
