Despite Adam Baldwin being in the show, I still could get interested in it because it sounded too much like Jake 2.0.

But then I saw a commercial and now I am interested.

A woman zips down on wires like Tom Cruise in one of the Mission Impossible movies and stops inches from the floor. Text says Secret Agent or something. Then another person zips down next to her and stops inches from the floor but he is facing the ceiling. He says something like Something about this doesn't seem right. Guess that is Chuck.

Think Jake 2.0 more with the funny.

I'll be checking it out this fall. And Sarah Conners Chronicles with Summer Glau. And Desperate Housewives with Nathan Fillion. He's been working out, you know, to get ready for those desperate housewives. And I already was watching Stargate Atlantis before Jewel showed up.

I really don't see this as a good thing. How can you?

If we want the series to continue, we need the actors to be a bit free so they can do it. I think we should be pressuring Sci-fi to buy the rights to Firefly from FOX. Does anyone agree?

Nope, what we need is for the actors and Joss to be more popular than they are now. We need someone Universal or someone else to be convinced that making straight to DVD or Sci-Fi channel movie/Firefly-like episodes are a way to make a profit. The more people see of our Big Darn Heroes work, the more people want to see of our Big Darn Heroes work.

Hope for more Firefly/Serenity rests with the Serenity Collector's Edition DVD (Release date: 8/21/2007) http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/news.php?id=6846 Joss Whedon interview at Comic Con 2007

Fox is either not selling or has set the price too high. We will see what happens when Fox's TV contract expires on that. I've heard 2010 as a date.

Joss wants to tell more stories in the 'verse. All the actors want to tell more stories in the 'verse.

Babylon Five just released a Straight to DVD movie.

Farscape is having Web only episodes.

Stargate SG1 is having a straight to DVD movie.

We need a Serenity ship set build somewhere Universal Studios or Canada where we can tour and have weddings and shindigs. And where Joss and Tim Minear and the cast can film stuff whenever they want.

TUESDAY! TUESDAY! TUESDAY!

I actually managed to see the pilot for Chuck around a month ago. sadly, it's no longer available. But I enjoyed it. lots of action and humour.
Captain Awesome is pretty funny. Yes, the premise of 'normal guy thrust into the spy game' sounds a bit Jake 2.0, but that's about where it stops being similar.
Sadly, not even Nathan can get me to watch Desperate housewives.
the ad I've seen online for sarah conner chronicles does make me want to watch that. I mean, Summer saying "Come with me if you want to live.", who wouldn't watch?

Whew, glad we're on the same side, thanks for explaining it to me. Anyway, I'm already watching Stargate Atlantis, Chuck is a possibility on the basis of it's hilarity, and The Sarah Connor Chronicles definitely makes it because Summer is going to be an awesome terminator.

Yepper! We want our stars "bankable" and they don't get that way sulking and turning work down so they'll be free to do the things we love.

That "permanent set" idea is so lovely I'd add it to a theme park or camp or something.

One of my other favorite sets is Badger's "office," believe it or not. I love the light in it, and the shadows of the ships passing over the highway burlap, and the archaic clutter.

Glad to hear some of you are excited to see Adam Baldwin on Chuck! My company helped make this site: www.chuckssecret.com where you can learn more about the show. Or, if you want to see Adam in the show, you can do so at around 2:38 in this youtube clip.

It looks like NBC is going to be the geek network this fall. With Check, Journey Man, Bionic Woman, Heroes etc. I hope they have lots of success.

Personally, I can't wait for Chuck. Just the idea makes me giggle and the ads have been funny.

I agree that the more the BDH's are exposed to mainstream audiences, the more likely that there would be success for Serenity 2. It would draw non Sci Fi fans to the movie just to see an actor that they like.

I'm even going to watch Bionic Woman for Mark Shepard (and BSG of course) and Stargate Atlantis for Jewel even though I haven't seen it before.

Oh, and I have to watch DH for Nathan. His story arc looks mighty interesting. I've seen the episodes of Pasadena he did with Dana Delaney and they have lots of chemistry together.

Ahoy, mrsbalthar! I'll save that link and go have a look in a little while (got a shimmerwine fountain to refill). You're #27874, and whether or not you feel like hanging around and getting all browncoaty with us, I'm going to hand you this big bucket of fresh strawberries and a mug of Mudder's Milk as a re-ward.

Now, we must get Adam front and center, emoting!
Or off to the side, chewing the scenery.
And falling down, reaching for the little angels...

The man is more than mere set decoration, dagnabbit.
