so... about the CE...

Yesterday I recieved the Collector's Edition of the BDM. It was one of the more exciting days of my life. So today, once I had some time, I popped in the magical second disc and watched the things I hadn't seen before. Following that, I inserted the first disc and watched even more new things. It was great. Made me all nostalgic and melancholy. But happy too.

One thing I'm rather bummed about however, is the outtakes. I know there is a reel out there that is longer and has even more hi-larity to it. It seems a letdown that this was not included. What does anyone else think about this issue?

And what about any hidden features, anyone know anything about that? I personally couldn't find any, but I'm convinced there must be some.

I think the longer gag reel is from the series, not the BDM.

The extended firefly gag reel can be found on google video btw...I dunno if it'll ever some to DVD...but who's to say we won't get a special edition of that too?

From what I remember there IS a longer version of the BDM gag reel. One of the BDHs showed it at a 'Con, I believe. It never showed up online, though.

I doubt that the extended gag reel for the series will ever get out on DVD, there's some copyright issues there (Love Boat theme, Star Wars music, etc...).

I checked every nook and cranny of the BDM CE for an easter egg, but came up empty.
