Dark Shadows is now up to 28,000, and Jerico is over 50,000. Dark Shadows looks to enter the top 40 before the end of the year. Not bad for a 41 year old show. Anyone here ever seen it?

SCIFIGAL

I used to watch Dark Shadows all the time as a kid. We would even write scripts and act them out. Must have been 10 or 12 at the time. It had vampires, werewolves, witches; kind of a mix of horror/soap opera. I recently saw it and it is pretty awful! The acting is pretty poor, the scenery is bad and sometimes you could see the microphone over the actors heads and hear off stage noise. The storylines were great tho! And some well known stars got a start there; Kate Jackson, David Selby and of course Joan Bennett was the matriarch.

No, I haven't see Dark Shadows (DS), it sounds somewhat interesting and I might make an effort to catch it.

DS is going to have to pick up the pace if it is going to make the top40 anytime this year. The past month they accumulated...
28849 - 23845 = 5004

'slower' shows...
4716 40 32915 37631 Hercules: The Legendary Journeys
4205 8 127212 131417 La Femme Nikita
4010 38 38803 42813 Cleopatra 2525
1928 21 71228 73156 Queer as Folk

Let's assume Cleopatra is the show they bump, and the rates continue... gain of 996/month... about 14 months. To bring this in by year end, they need to get about 7500 votes a month, or 250 votes a day; instead of the 160 or so a day they are averaging now. And that's assuming the Cleo fans don't rally (and I know nothing about them).

Personally, I'm putting my nomination vote on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. Some folks here are still nominating Drive.

Edit: Ok, I think I fixed it; but I will add that if the pace is picked up, it 'will' be Hercules which is passed; need about 7000 votes a month for 'by year end' or about 240 votes a day. My prediction is that Hercules fans will rally, and they will fend off any rising star; at least, they have done so in the past to keep from being the 'show on the bump' at the wrong time.
