Okay, I like the Re movies and all (mostly 'cause of Milla) but as for the way flicks go they are a bit on the suckage side. Video game movie wise, they ain't bad. As long a Uwe Boll don't get ahold of 'em we'll be okay.

As I mentioned in other threads I always have a dream about how a RE flick should look right after seeing a trailer for the first time. Needless to say I've been a little let down so the third one better rock my gorram socks off.

Now if they could take Blackhawk Down and replace Somalis for Zombies (same number with DOTD remake zombies, twice as many with Romero zombies) and it would defiately be worth watching.

I just love the combination of zombies, explosions, guns, and ass kicking...makes me smile ( and I find it very soothing after a long week)

Personally I'll be heading out with a scimitar (curved blades work well for beheading), some kind of carbine (in a common caliber), and a pistol (in case I get bit).

And everyone remember to wear bite-resistant clothing... oilskin, leather, cotton duck, heavy denim.

Trust me... I know what I'm doing.

Actually, some dude, over at the Hotel 23 Apocalypse forum, he tried to ee if zombies really could bite through clothing like you see in the movies. Well, he went at it with a pig carcass... messed up his teeth AND a pair of denchers while he was at it... Yeah, but, he found out, after a zombie has risen (Like, first attack recent) they can't bite through much, but, once they've gotten a chance to test out their chops on flesh once or twice... they can bite through most anything. Denim? Like paper, but blue. Leather works for a while, but you only need a second to dispatch them, anyway...

WAIT!!! Why am I gearing up, anyway? I'll just get y Necromancer friends to control the hordes to their whims and fancies.

Ok... some people have waaaaaaay too much free farkin' time. LOL

I suppose though, it does make some sense. Theoretically, Zombies feel no pain. Otherwise I imagine they'd spend much of their time laying about, and whining about their appendages having been eaten off while they were alive. Now if they feel no pain, then they wouldn't have that instinct to stop doing something that was causing injury... like biting so hard that your teeth are imploding.

Still & all... I think it would be pretty hard to bite clean through a layer of oilskin, with a layer of denim or cotton duck underneath it, to get a chunk of flesh off.

Trust me... I know what I'm doing!

Denim with a layer of a much tougher material will work. Denim alone... you'll be walking dead in a Canadian tuxedo.

Seems that test is one of the first things that drem me in.

hmmm yes I have actually bitten through denim and it's not that hard...regular cloth equally easy, but I'd say multiple layers or oilskin would do the trick in a temporary way, but with a zombie who's crazed with the need to feed....might not last long... hmmm mythbusters experiment time!! What outfit would be most suitable for fending off zombies??

OMG that would be the best Mythbuster episode ever! you should log onto their website and submit it :)

BTW: Zombie proof suit: shark suit. However, eventually you'd get crushed or spattered with gore..and depending on the flavor of zombie, splatter could infect you.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Shark suit? Not a bad idea. *wonders if he can get one on Ebay*
