Just a quick question. I know the comic is coming, but does anyone have an idea of when? I heard that it was to come out in the fall, but it's now the end of September and there has been no new news. If anyone had more information about the comics that would be great. Thanks.

...last I recall, it was to be released in December? Sorry, can't even tell where or when I read that...but that's what I remember.

Thanks for the info, I'll be looking for it in Dec then. I guess my next step is to go to my local comic book store and ask if they're going to order it.

Does it take place before or after the series? The movie? If it takes place between the two, then maybe it'll explain how the crew can afford that fancy new hover-mule.

I think it takes place after the last comic series, before the movie.

Personally, I like the Virtual Firefly explanation of how they got the mule. In that fan story they sold the Lassiter and used the money from that to buy it. Works for me.

All I know about this story is that for once something (apparently) goes smooth and it shows how the crew deals with things going their way for once.

As I understand it, it will be set before "Those Left Behind". That's all I really know about the Comic. The Release Date keeps getting pushed back; Last I heard, Bix was predicting January of 2008!

As for the Hover Mule, Joss thought it was big-budget and cool. The Fan-wank for this is that Mal managed to sell the Lassiter, Hence the upgrades to Serenity's engines and the Mule. The money has pretty much run out by the time of the film, however. I think that's as good an answer as any

The Dark Horse Comics solicitation for December are already out and "Better Days" is not there. Hopefully it shows up in the January solicitations.
