Mornin' manual stats VUMP!

Top two scores as of this morning:

(Previous day's stat)

Total votes Firefly: 447,975 (446,979)

Total votes Xena: 410,417 (409,924)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 996 (952) times. Oog.

Yesterday, Xenites voted 493 (478) times.

(Xenites voted 503 (474) times less than Browncoats, yesterday).

Firefly is 37,558 (37,055) votes ahead of Xena. We are still ahead of the combined vote total of Xena and Bonanza!

Browncoat votes rose by 44 yesterday, 4.62%; Xenite votes fell by 15, 3.14%.

Our next, big goal is 450,000, 2,025 (3,021) votes away, about 2.03 days out.

Further out is half a million, 52,025 (53,021) votes away, still about 52.23 days out as we are currently voting.

4,718,570 (4,708,975) votes have been counted as of 10/29/07. 9,595 (9,338) votes were cast yesterday. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast yesterday, we needed to vote 960 (934) times, which we exceeded by by 36 votes. We increased our share to 9.4938721% (9.4920662%) of all votes ever cast, and climbing.

We're closin' in on that 10% slice of the pie on Rich Labonte's charts! Wonder if the round-up counts? Xena only holds 8.6979106% (8.7051642%). Together with our total, that makes 18.191782% (18.19723%)...

Our 1000+ votes/day still hasn't restarted; we missed it by FOUR votes, yesterday =-[.]-=. We've fallen below 1,000 daily votes three times, now, since the restart. If nothing else, being the only show with daily votes in four figures should be a point of pride, for us. Let's get those numbers back up!

vump cause I want bump up the vump for the bump is a vump, vumpty, bumty, vumpty.

I can see that as a failed but acclaimed music single now, and through the fanbase of the song its gets an album, again not as big as we hoped but we prevailed by buying consistently and got a 2nd Album made which went on to be one of the biggest Album's in history and spawned more Single's.

P.S. Single is a metaphor for Firefly, Album is a metaphor for Serenity.

This year Daylight Saving Time doesn't take effect until 2 am the first Sunday in November, instead of the last Sunday in October.

Just to be sayin.'

Howdy voters.

First off, yup... I'm voting... still... with the help of the voting reminder every hour on the hour that I'm sitting here and proud to do it. :-)

I'm dropping in to ask assistance from you on another venture that I think has an impact on the profile of 'Verse related stuff. The weekly 'Verse digg.

Here it is:

For the benefit of KNTR and their continuing hope to encourage young folks to read and love it, please digg this article that mentions PJ Haarsma and his coordination between the books he writes and the game that he created to go along with it.

http://digg.com/world_news/Teen_Generation_Dubbed_Millennial_s

And to promote the Shiny WaveCard campaign that we're doing in hopes to get Uni's attention so they understand that we're here, we're enjoying the stuff they're giving us and we're hoping for more... please digg this!!

http://digg.com/movies/A_Universal_Wave_for_More_Serenity

Obviously the second one is of most importance to us Browncoats. And I thank you all for helping us.

Sorry, there won't be any today :( I'm working from home and my computer with all the statsy stuff on it is at work, and turned off, because I've been having overheating troubles with it.

Speakin' of, could someone post the raw stats today? I'll need to grab 'em in order to get things working next Monday.

I also have a confession to make - I haven't been voting since the 1K streak broke. Somehow with the loss of a week and the loss of a goal, my heart's not in it any more. I'll keep doing the stats cos folks seem to like them, and maybe my motivation will come back. But feels like lying to keep posting in these threads without admitting I'm not actually voting.

Gorram right, that! SAB39, I know how easy it is to be discouraged; every morning I get up and eyeball our votes, never sure what I'm gonna find. But, the 1k/day is only one of many goals, as FineHat points out. I'd hate to think of you bein' disheartened enough to stop votin'; that must be like dryin' up inside, after all the hard work we've all shared. But, it's never too late to start again, and, we'll all be glad of your company on this crazy venture.

Oh, here're your raws:

Thanks. I'm happy to keep posting stats, and it's quite possible that after some time has passed I'll get back my motivation for the votin' and the vumpin' too. I think I'm a little bitter and resentful about the series of events that put us in the position to fail to maintain our goal after so much effort (I was really hoping for the "1K all the way to a half mil" goal). And I don't feel like it's particularly helpful to me or anyone else anyone to vent my particular frustrations at any particular people. So I'll just take a step back, keep posting the stats and following the progress and cheering from the sidelines

I know you guys will hold till I get back

Welcome, Rallem!

"Vump" means to vote, and, then, to post on the thread to "bump" it to the top of the thread list (on the left side of the page).

You will also see "Bote," which is to bump, then vote.

I'm also angry that we were brought in to that whole affair without a choice and that it hurt our momentum.

Thanks again for the shiny stats.

We'll keep this thing flying 'til you're ready to come back.

Haven't you killed me enough for one day?

Well, if it helps ease the bitterness, SAB39, "those responsible" have certainly paid the price. Lexx is at about half-rations for votes, lately. The only thing about that that bothers me is that the typical Lexx voter, who knew nothing about the cheat, and, in all likelihood, is as honest as the rest of us, is even more screwed than we were.

And, thanks for your stats. I really get a LOT outta your numbers, SAB39. I can't extract those projections with a pocket calculator, and, they are very revelatory.

And, of course, we'll hold for ya, if you need us to. We're still on a clock, this time to 6 million, at last mention, so, we have a lotta work to do in the next 4 months +/-. You just pop right back in if and when you feel like it. We'll be here.

Heheh... Interestin.' Did that Thursday night, atta virtual Hallowe'en party, online. Here's my costume:

Outfit: Ray is now Malcolm Reynolds, Captain of the spaceship Serenity. His 3/4 length deerskin leather duster, a bit worn, but, painstakingly patched (including the bullet hole in the upper left sleeve), is "kind of a brownish color;" ask him where he got it, he'll probably tell you "it was on sale." The homespun shirt he wears beneath it is of the same red-brown, like earth stained with blood. Suspenders hold up khaki pants (brown corduroy stripes running down the outside of each leg) tucked into high, leather boots. Slung across his hips is a gun belt; the oak-tanned leather holster lies within easy reach of his right hand, with a leather tie-down just above the knee. Within is an antique pistol, as lovingly kept as his coat, its gracefully-flared, brass-shrouded frame and wooden grips marking it as the weapon of a gunfighter.

Happy Hallowe'en BOTE!

That's 19 votes, and, to bed.

'Nighters!

there is no Serenity sequel in works. At least not yet. "Right now, nobody has any plans to do any kind of sequel," he explained in a brief phone interview. "If they do, I hope they'll include me, because if I find out Brett Ratner is directing it, I'm going to be so mad."

Quizzical at the sudden news VUMP!

"...rumors aside, there is no Serenity sequel in works. At least not yet. "Right now, nobody has any plans to do any kind of sequel," he explained in a brief phone interview. "If they do, I hope they'll include me, because if I find out Brett Ratner is directing it, I'm going to be so mad." The occasion for the interview was the DVD release of Angel: Complete Series, and that naturally led to my first question…"

Is that a recent event?

Bote from work.

Joss needs to get in contact directly with the fanbase before I accept that there's no Serenity sequel being tabled at Universal.
