At this point nothing needs to be said, the buildup is too much, and it wouldn't be funny.

Now, talking about Phoebe playing with the Captain's gun too much and the effect it has, that one is still floating out there.

THIS is why I love my baby brother!!!!!

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Mornin' 76th!

Seven days and a very early wake up and I am southbound on Delta to Atlanta to meet Jimi.

Hope everyone is having a good week and getting prepared for the holidays.

It's a pity you are too far away to be at the shindigs, MsG, they are loads of fun. Hell, you've been to one of them.

But you'd have to give me a chocolate chip cookie and ten pushups.

Wish I was going to the shindig as it is a mere 12 hr drive from where I am. I'm hoping to make one of the Chattanooga Cons at the beginning of '08(Also a 12 hr drive). I've a question though: As a new guy, should I invest in body armor for when I meet you all at a shindig? I have this recurring dream where I walk in to a 76th shindig, I introduce myself, then all present pull out their sidearms and shoot little yellow smiley faces like this one at me.

What? I'm sober I swear.

Ya'll have a great weekend!!

Well, seems I'm paying it forward.

The lovely BigRosie had me at her house for a weekend, and I'm going to be housing PVT Jack Gibbons for an evening. There's a BSG event in Philadelphia and I'm somewhere near one of the theaters and he needs somewhere to sleep for the night.

Remember him from D*C? He's the one who won the BSG costume contest as Romo Lampkin. And he also dresses up like Badger.

:) Yay!

Well, Jack's little overnight is going to be a mini-shindig.

Because of my hectic Tuesday between trucking him to the train station and my worries about my son's half day of school, I don't want to be stuck in traffic and have my son come home to an empty house. So I've asked Daisy to spend the night. :) She will be babysitting for me on Tuesday.

Tuesday morning will be a 76th breakfast at my house!

Short but sweet.

We'll work on getting Jack out here for a longer visit next time.

For what little time we had, yes it was fun. :)

I got a PM from him and he got home safely. I felt like a terrible host for leaving him on his own at the train station, but I had a parent teacher conference yesterday afternoon I had to be home for. We did get to grab a drink and croissant and chat for a few minutes before I had to run home, so it worked out ok.

I have decided that there will be a larger Echo Company shindig at my house at some point after the holidays. Not sure when, but it's GONNA happen!

Got everything packed and ready to go. I'll be in Atlanta tomorrow around 8am. I'll probably knock around downtown to kill sometime until the others arrive in the afternoon.

we want the "going off to war, at the beginning" look for the parades, not the "beat to hell-n-gone at serenity valley" look. some of us are working on more battle-worn kit for other times though.

and not marching, or belonging to another fangroup, does not preclude you from joining. although, we did have a 501st member march with us last year instead of them.

Oh gods, I would never march with a Star Wars group. No I marched with the Aliens Colonial Marines.

So since the only con I attend with a parade is D*con, and no offense to you guys wouldn't march with you... is it possible to still join the 76th to plunder your resources for my own battle worn costume?
