Yesterday, Browncoats voted 945 (1,128) times.

Yesterday, Xenites voted 513 (569) times.

(Xenites voted 432 (559) times less than Browncoats, yesterday).

Firefly is 49,708 (49,276) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #40 show Hercules: The Legendary Journeys 48639!

Browncoat votes fell by 183 yesterday, 16.22%; Xenite votes fell by 56, 9.84%.

Our next, big goal is half a million, 29,935 (30,880) votes away, still about 31.67 (27.38) days out as we are currently voting.

4,928,549 (4,918,411) votes have been counted as of 11/17/07. 10,138 (11,587) votes were cast yesterday. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast yesterday, we needed to vote 1,014 (1,159) times, of which we fell short by 69 (31) votes. Our share fell to 9.5375945% (9.5380402%) of all votes ever cast.

Looks like Friday votes going into Saturday scores remain our big hurdle. Let’s keep the rest of the weekend votes up!

Nice to see they woke up. Until quite recently, Dark Shadows was looking to overtake Herc before the end of the year. Now it won't happen until the end of January. We might have us a real race here. It would be interesting if that got the Xena fans motivated, and they made a run for us as well. Note that todays banner at the vote site features Firely hitting 470,000, and Xena 420,000.

My money's on the undead crowd, though. They been scrambling for a while, and got more motivation to climb out of the nomination basement.

As a Dark Shadows Nominations voter/booster, I am confident of an eventual move up into the Top 40.

It might not be Herc, if they can hold it off long enough to push up past Cleo. But at the rate things are going now, in less than a year QaF will have dropped to last place, and they're getting almost a third of the number of votes as the second-lowest show in the top 40. They're pretty damn easy to pass once they get into that bottom spot.

I think you guys are right!!! We are trying our best to get to the Top 40 legally and with tenacity!! Our resident vampire never gave up on a fight and neither will we.

I want to thank all those browncoats who have voted for DS and who may plan to vote. I will continue to vote for Firefly at the same time that I vote for Dark Shadows! I have a few other shows I vote for and would LOVE to have DS right there on the same page.

I wouldn't get my after burners all heated up. Thanksgiving holiday coming up in the US, and folks have things to worry about besides getting a few votes lined up.

I will actually be having a pretty quiet week... well, if not quiet, I'll be home doing stuff, and should be able to get in as many votes as usual, if not a few more; but as Sister says, I'd save trying to 're-rally' folks for 11/26.

We've built up a reasonable lead; the occasional holiday slump will -not- be a problem.

another vump...suasor..I don't believe we had any records from last year although it's obvious even during spring/fall college breaks we drop some. There were very few voting when I started a little over a year ago, but I don't think we had the statistically minded folk until this past year. I know that doesn't help much but that's what I think, anyway. We haven't really been all 'full speed ahead' since the 'incident' where the site went away for a week.

The daily and weekly charts at the start of this thread appear to start about October 2006. Am I misreading them or is it that you don't have the raw data from that early?

Just curious. The weekly chart seems to line up with a dip at about Thanksgiving and Christmas...

FlatTop is the keeper-of-obscure-statistics. He's probably the only one who has numbers going that far back.

They do at that. It's hard to tell though, it looks like we got a big boost in late November sometime; difficult to say from the graphs whether that was before or after Thanksgiving. The data certainly seems consistent with a Christmas/New Year drop, though.

Well, I'm a neophyte vumper, compared to most; only been votin' on TV Vote since early July.

I s'pose the fact that EVERYBODY seems to be takin' a big votin' hit, this weekend, should be an indication that it's not just our problem; I just didn't expect the T'giving holiday to hit us, this soon.

Been outta school far too long to remember when the holiday breaks begin VUMP!
