Ok so im getting my tattoo in 2 days. Then as i was listiening to the opening music for firefly it hit me like a lead pipe...duh! of course! Something cheap, simple, and had deep meaning!

The question is what does that symbol mean? Does it mean what i think it means, Serenity? Come on show me that you guys are fans! What does it mean?
And if it does mean serenity can someone provide me a pic of it without the text over it?

It means Serenity.

Its the ships patch (its painted on the ships "neck".

No luck with the logo :( but someone arty might be able to help :)

many thanks! I cant wait! Im sure i can find it somewhere hopefully. God i love serenity and firefly, but the symbols for firefly are really long (found those), so serenity it is. *runs off to watch series for the billionth time*

Hey there guys. I actually have that tatoo from the ship. Just the symbols though not the actual circle that envelopes it. I had it done by my tatoo artist here in Montreal and he ended up giving me a "painted" look. I love it. I have Jetflair's fantastic Serenity charm and I had it on one day when I went to my favorite Chinese restaurant.

The waitress confirmed for me that it meant "serenity, peacefulness" I know she was struggling for the right words because even though she spoke excellent English I know a literal translation of a Chinese characters are hard.
