This is awesome, I've been waiting for this news for a long time. I'm glad they finally set a date for their release.

I can't wait to see where they're going to go with the cover art too.

If it is the early days of the crew has to make you wonder if Simon, River and Book are in it. Cause they were already smuggling when those three first came on board. Guess if thats the case there will be less characters to have to cover so more time can be spent on the story and not on cameo appearances.

Plus I hope there are a few more pages in this comic special as the last one added up to about 1 TV episode in length by my reckoning. Much less if you didn't look at the pictures, but then what would be the point of buying a comic if you don't look at the pictures.

Joss originally said that BETTER DAYS would take place within the continuity of the show, so I'm sure Book and the Tams will be there. (My guess is that they might finally sell the Lassiter).

As for the length of the comic vs. an episode: keep in mind that a 3 issue mini-series is paced completely differently from a 5-act, one hour television episode. (If you want to see THOSE LEFT BEHIND translated into an episode script, check out the link in my signature).

MANWITHPEZ

Important people don't do field work.

Not to tell tales out of school, but I have it on good authority that the Tams and Book will be in Better Days.

Really! After this book comes out, I will have fantastic tales to tell!

Kaylee: "What's so damn important about being proper? It don't mean nothing out here in the black."
Simon: "It means more out here. It's all I have..."

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Definitely a shiny looking cover. Thanks for posting it.
