EMBERS

It only took 6 weeks to make, and it didn't cost very much, so I think it is considered to be highly profitable....

The DVD is a treasure, some really nice Nathan interviews...

I'm disappointed that it didn't get any Golden Globe nominations... I sort of thought that the screen play would, and maybe Andy Griffith for supporting actor....

I'm with you, Embers. I keep checking all the award nominations and I'm surprised not to see Waitress anywhere on the list.
I asked for the Waitress DVD for Christmas but nobody got it for me.
I'll run out and pick it up this weekend. I can't wait to take a look at the extras.

I was surprised too that Waitress didn't get any nominations from the Golden Globes, SAG Awards etc.

It is nominated for Best Screenplay (Adrienne Shelly) at the Independent Spirit Awards.

I would have also nominated Keri Russell and Nathan for Best Supporting Actor.

Andy Griffith is a natural for Best Supporting Actor but he was essentially playing himself. He may get it for his whole career. It happens a lot like that.

Just a note, if you haven't picked up the DVD of Slither yet, its got some great behind-the-scenes Nathan stuff as well.

That man is just a personality juggernaut. He's the center of attention in absolutely everything he does, and does it with grace and humor.

Oh and btw, I'm Bill Pardy.

Am I doing the math properly?
Is that a total of $60 million dollars?
Or am I just cross-eyed this late at night?

Wow, that's impressive. The little movie that could.

Nathan was good as usual but this movie really SUCKED!! The acting was good but the storyline was BAD BAD and BAD!! The only thing missing in this redneck bust of a storyline was a beat up trailer.
