Nathan Fillion signs Serenity: Better Days comics for charity

(Phoenix, AZ) - TV and film star Nathan Fillion (Serenity, White Noise II, Desperate Housewives) is doing his part to get kids to read. Nathan will be signing 250 copies of Dark Horse Comic’s Serenity: Better Days #1 with proceeds going to Kids Need to Read ( www.kidsneedtoread.org). Kids Need to Read (KNTR) is a program that provides books to libraries in need. KNTR and SpazDog Comics have teamed up to make signed and unsigned copies of Serenity: Better Days #1 available to Serenity and comic book fans alike. Pre-sales of this epic comic will be available at the Phoenix Cactus Comicon ( www.phoenixcomicon.com). Signed copies sell for $25 with net profits going directly to KNTR. Unsigned copies sell for $4 with $2 donated to KNTR. Serenity: Better Days #1 arrives in stores March 12. Signed copies will be in-store for pickup in April.

About Kids Need to Read
When two friends get together and discuss something they are very passionate about, good things usually happen. The Kids Need to Read project was born from such a discussion.

Inspired by the enormous amount of energy coming from their fans, author PJ Haarsma and actor Nathan Fillion established a program where profits could be used to purchase books for libraries in need. Money should never be used as an excuse when it comes to the education of our children.

About SpazDog Comics

Darn! Too bad I can't be at the Phoenix Con.

Oh-Well, I will buy an unsigned copy later and have the proceeds go to KNTR.

I'm sure they will sell all 250 copies at the Con!
