Just wanted to say "Hey".
I'm a newbie and I'm enjoying reading the threads and getting a feel for all things Firefly/Serenity around here.
I've posted a couple of times, but wanted to introduce myself. I'm pretty picky about my SciFi as I'm sure most all of you are, but there was something about Firefly that just jumped up and grabbed me. I bought the set for DH thinking he would love it and lo and behold I'm the one who can't get enough of it!
I hope y'all won't mind if I join in every now and then.
Anyway, "hey" from a fan in Alabama.

Thank y'all so much for the nice welcome!
I hope not to embarass myself on this site, but then, hey, what else is new!?
I also hope I can contribute something meaningful to the conversation every now and then. If I make mistakes, please don't hesitate to correct me, things like that don't hurt my feelings.
Thanks so much for the Browncoat. I'll wear it with pride!
In fact, in real life I am alot like Kaylee. I can't be quiet and always see the bright side! I'm so curious about people I never meet a stranger and everyone has an interesting story to tell. I just plain like knowing about folk...all folk!

A little about myself:
I'm female
Married
Older than some, younger than some (that's all ya get!)
Church going Born Again Christian
I live in Alabama
I like some SciFi, but I'm not hardcore
My tastes run from Firefly and Serenity to the original Star Wars and the original Twilight Zone (in fact, we have a party every time SciFi Channel shows the Twilight Zone Marathon on New Year's Eve and 4th of July. We love certain episodes and have fun quoting lines along with the show!
I'm one who loves to have fun and keep the party going. My friends cannot ever make up their minds about plans so I tend to take charge, therefore they call me the party planner.
Hope this helps ya get to know me a little.

That is a lot of info about yourself. I think it’s great. I like knowing a little about the other browncaots I’m talking to. Anyway, I myself am male and probably considerably older that you and most the folk on the site. Now I didn’t say that I was the oldest but I would venture to say that I am in the running for that title…lol

So you’re a TZer (Twilight Zoner)! Well I like ‘em too. Think my favorite is the one where the spaceship lands and the people in the little small town café try to figure out the bus rider that doesn’t belong, you know the Martian. That one always makes me laugh.

Hey, yeah, we have so much fun with TZ! This is always on in the background when we have parties. It keeps the conversation going and even for those who don't like SciFi they look for old stars or they catch our enthusiasm. Of course, New Year's Eve we flip back and forth between all the Bowl Games. We are HUGE Auburn fans, too.

We like all the TZ episodes, but Wm. Shatner and the Space Creature on the plane's wing is a favorite as is the episode with Burgess Meredith all alone with his books. Then again we love....oh you know...we like 'em all in one way or 'nother.

Of course none of them match my love for Firefly.
