I was quite surprised when I found out after checking him on IMDB straight after watching Firefly (almost two years ago now). Based on Sonny's voice in I, Robot I would of never guessed it was Alan.

Yup, and he's nearly as good as Summer playing a robot. Of course Summer has that whole "Smokin' Hot Female" thinng going for her.

Yeah - at the time I saw it my best guess was David Hyde Pierce (Niles on Frasier). Of course, at that time, I had no idea who/what Alan Tudyk/Firefly was...

I recognized his voice when I first heard it. I wasn't a Firefly fan then but I was a fan of Alan. Also I checked the credits to be sure. Anyway I believe he also did motion capture for the face at least. I see a few characteristics in common. At least as far as expression.

Not just the face. He was in a full suit with motion point lights and was filmed walking and moving just like they did Golum in LOTR. He even joked that in one picture you could see his "package".

I didn't know when I first saw the movie but I kept thinking that the voice souded vaguely familiar.
Then sometime later I heard Alan was in I, Robot and I thought no he's not, I can't remember seeing him.
Looked it up and then it clicked into place but I still had to check the movie again just to be sure.
