Hi everyone!
I'm Molotov, and while I'm new here, I'm not too new to this whole firefly fan thing.
It all started a year ago. I had just watched firefly and serenity, and also found Done the Impossible on the net. I heard of this site in the film, and while I was a huge fan of the show and movie, didn't think I'd end up posting on any online message board, so I kinda put it in the back of my mind.
Shortly after that, I learned about the mnfirefly.com from Minnesota Now! That's the Minnesota chapter of Equality Now! I noticed that there was a screening of Serenity in Minneapolis, and it was hosted by the mnfirefly site. So not wanting to go see Serenity without knowing anyone to share this truly awesome experience with me, I followed the link and signed up to their forums.
Since then I've met most of the members there, helped build the Convergence-Con, Serenity Party Room, dressed up like badger, and learned the Serenity ballad, and Hero of Canton on the guitar to play at con.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that the Firefly fan experience has been an exciting, and unexpected one, and I'm happy to continue on in it, and posting here seemed like a necessary step.
Anyways, about myself, I'm 24 years old, and live just outside Minneapolis. I run the night-shift at a Kinko's. I enjoy music, singing, writing, playing, listening to, and going out to see it.
I like to travel, and have been in all 48 continental states +Hawaii, by plane, car, hitch-hiking, train, or coal car.
I'm very active in local and national social activism, and that's actually what brought me to firefly.
It was very refreshing to see a fan base that offered their effort to support a socially responsible cause, and I was impressed by the spirit of those involved in the organization, and those that came out to support it.
As I said above, I have really enjoyed the fan experience I have gotten so far, and I look forward to going further down the firefly fan rabbit hole.

Yup that's me!
That Inara costume was pretty wild. If I recall, you were wearing a pretty killer Kaylee costume, yourself.
I never felt more under dressed for a movie event before(because I totally got all costumed up for Star Wars, special editions and the prequels).
Thanks for saying 'Hi!' and all, because I suck at this introduction stuff, and it's a lot easier breaking the ice with someone I've met and already made an awkward introduction to.
*awkward silence*
Anyways, as for the RWED, I'm sure I won't have any trouble staying away. I get more than i'd like, on a daily, basis in RL.
Is there any place you suggest I do start exploring?

as for where to explore, meh, i'm kinda boring. i mostly lurk in the photo threads, the "bar & grill" threads, the "imponderables" threads, and on occasion the "76th battalion" threads. just jump right in anywhere, really. most folk around here are quite nice.

Sorry if I don't contribute right away, there's so much on this site to read and check out, not to mention the fan efforts and work to view/read/listen to. Maybe I'll see some of you in chat(though the Aussies will probably see me the most in the future, due to the whole nocturnal thing).
Through what little I've checked out, I'm really enjoying the community that you guys have all helped build.
