and it only took a year.....

simon and river are sitting on the couch talking, just hanging about, and captain janeway from star trek walks in(?). she says"it sure would be nice if somebody cleaned up the bathtub". simon replies"ill do it". its alright says janeway. suddenly river has a green crayon and starts scribbling on the walls like a 4 year old.

the sense i got was that river was regressing to childhood because of what the government did to her. even though she grew up at home and was 14 before she was taken, she has the urge to do the whole thing again. maybe she can live her life all the way through without the torture.

as far as captain janeway goes, i am a moderate trekkie and she mustve gotten cross-geeked into my dream.

EMBERS

you know you've reached saturation point w/Firefly when you start dreaming about it! Congratulation! LOL

And I think River regressed (in your dream) because 'Mom' walked in.... Let's face it, Janeway always seemed a lot like Mom. BTW do you remember the 'Voyager' episode when Shepard Book convinced Harry Kim to act as Captain on his alien space craft?

STEAMER

Ahhh, Firefly dreams....if you're lucky, this'll be the first of many. I've never forgotten my first - I was with the crew, looking to prevent an assassination on some poohbah or other, and just as we were setting up a stakeout I suddenly found myself making out with River. Then there was the one where River got kidnapped by an old compadre of Mal's who had gone right-wing nut-case, and we all went in a la War Stories to get her out; and THEN there was the especially vivid one where Simon and I literally BROKE into the Academy (as in, windows and walls and bones) to spring River. Not sure what this all says about my psyche....do I just have this driving unconscious need to save and protect crazy (yet cute) girls from bad people? That answer's gonna be a little while.

Kaylee's batt'ries
Have gone flat
For her - oh, GOD!
We can't KNOW that!

IREMIST

Oh, MEEE TOo!

I go long periods without remembering my dreams, but then I will have a month of crazy, sometimes incredibly vivid dreams. So last week I had a dream that I was Kaylee and I was watching Wash and a beautiful imposter actress who was supposed to be Zoe and someone wispered "Don't say anything or they will cancel the show" and they were opening a brothel and I don't remember the specifics but Wash made a crack and said "We're going to need a lot more virgins! " and I woke up laughing....

See.... they can't even suck the sky outta my brain..

Wait, that didn't come out quite right...

P.S, I love Janeway's character. Tough, yet charming and more balls-to-the-wall than previous captains. Hubby and I just watched the last episodes, we both had always missed the ending.
I liked it -it ended on a high note, better than most endings these days....

TRAVELER

I never dream about people or things I know. Everyone is a complete stranger and what is gonig on has nothing to do with my life. I am sure in some psychic way it does hve something to do with my life, but I can never figure out the why of it. Just know sometimes I'm having fun and sometimes I am in some danger I have to get out of.

I figure dreams are your brain placing your thoughts back in order after you spent all day scrambling them up.

FINEHAT

It's weird that this thread has appeared now. The other night I had a dream with Alan Tudyk in it. Wasn't really a Firefly dream, but in the dream I asked him if he had any nicknames. He said, "Badger and Wash." I said, "I'll call you Wash." Then he got a disappointed look on his face. That was it. Not monumental, but it did have a BDH in it.
