Yeah, so i'm really sorry i started that "Our President" thread. I sooo did not think it would end up how it did. I only posted it because i wanted to see if there was an overall consensus of Pro-President Bush or Anti-President Bush but i see that there isn't and it turned out totally wrong. Sorry for 'dividing' the browncoats.

I don't think you need to apologize Howdyrockerbaby1. I for one agreed with your original statement.

I think this upcoming election is going to be a real squeaker. Why should the Browncoat community be any different than that?

I hope my posts have been a little more factually based and not quite so 'flamey' (that's the college debater in me coming out I guess). In hindsight I agree that maybe I should keep my opinion to myself.

Its just hard to stand by when sumthin you believe in is gettin trounced.

Have a great day and don't let it get you down. Anybody that uses Kaylee for their icon/avator is OK with me.

One thing that those of us share on this board is passion. There is a passion for the obvious, but for many honorable browncoats here, passion abounds into other areas. With politics and religion, the age old fire starters and tabooo topics of many a shindig, it should be no surprise that it's any different here. Alas, such matters are not what draw me to this most excellent of sites.

I think I'll go watch the DVD, again. That, I know, will make me happy.

Shiny indeed, Howdy!

Me and my mates and family are always talking politics. I find that the more you talk to people about it the less flamey and angry everyone is. When it gets down to the level of debating the pros and cons of a film or football players in popularity, arguements become far less passionate and more considered. There really isn't the rule in this country that you don't talk politics, its always been a favourite in pubs, cafes and bars and dinner tables. Doesn't mean that there ain't shouting now and again though! Just not too often.

So no apologies needed, though I felt the need to flee the thread as I was getting heated. But one thing we can all agree on, the aceness of Firefly. Hurrah!

When Angel's over, you should check that thread out. It's worth it just to see the ludracris amount of spoiler tags that got used, all the way down the page (and I was one of the ones using them, so I'm not intending this as a criticism of anyone. It's just highly amusing).
