KUGELBLITZ

I work for the U.S. Army, rather a lot some days. As a green civilian, myself and other fols are watching the various conflicts with much interest, for a variety of reasons (professional and personal) and, even more importantly, because some of our co-workers are in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I recently found out that a friend and coworker of mine, a SM named Eli Godbolt was wounded while working on a project I am involved in. Currently I only know he was wounded by mortar shrapnel in the legs, and that he is not dead. Which is good.

I have all opf this wierd energy though. I mean my buddy is shot up, and I can't DO anything about it. I had a similar feeling way back when when I saw the movie "Schindler's List". I came out of the theater (with my Jewish girlfriend) and I had alol of this really strange energy going on-I wanted to do something but I could not figure out what that was. So I just stayed stressed out, by it, as I am now.

This isn't a plea for help, I don't need it. Other folks sure do, though, and my thoughts are with Eli's family right now, awaiting a more detailed response from the green machine.

I guess to avoid the possibility of wasting any of Haken's bandwidth I should infer that any survivors of a conflict could or would bve flashing on some very intense feelings from time to time, that may not be logically connected to whatever they are doing.

I know that "wierd energy" thing you are trying to explain Kuge.

I was in the Rangers for 8 years, and everytime I hear someone I know has been wounded or killed I get that same feeling. It doesn't even have to be someone I know; if they are a Ranger and are WIA or KIA, it tears at me.
