To my dismay, I could not find a picture of an alliance flag on the web. So, I made one... Thus showing a picture is worth a thousand words... most of them ending with question marks...

Shiny flag there.

I believe there are some more versions of it in the Blue Sun Room. I made one as well as part of my flags of the 'Verse collection, but I haven't been able to post any of my pics anywhere yet.

I like it, even if it is a low down, dirty Purplebelly flag.

Well now that my brain started working again...it stops from time to time, I realised the blatently obvious, that these boards will work with an image tag. Some of them just won't, but you just showed they obviously do.

Yeah I know. I blame the hangover. So I'll do the oh so cheesy imagehosting route and see if that'll work.

The chicom and US flag is what I used to put it together (for everyone else's reference the center flag is based directly off the communist People's Republic of China.. or ChiCom for short).
But the creepy question is that the flag of the alliance of US and Chi-coms? (Creepy)
or
Is it like a conquered nation flag like the former Communist Europe had? (not as creepy though scary)

In either case the alliance is very akin to modern China: Restricted interstate trade; well cared and rewarded wealthy party elite sections, while rural and poor are totally ignored; opposed to religion; corporations due as they will; tight controls on technology; various forms slavery; state is supreme.

In Firefly terms: Smuggling; Core planets vs. border planets; Sheppard; Blue Sun; slavery and indentured servitude

I'm not saying this is what Whedon intended or not. Just that it is too eerily similar.

OR

Whedon just put it in there to develop later in the series and I'm investing far too much thought in this.

...I finally found the "Blue Sun Room" and sifted through the pictures you're referring to. Though in my first post I'm referring to the web as a whole.
