thank you jstn; she is 87 and stopped eating months ago; dropped 1/2 her body weight and right after christmas could no longer get out of bed; she has decided to die and may well do so in the next day or so. Nothing physically wrong except for the usual old age aches and pains - but I believe she has just gotten tired of living and doesn't want to do it any more. Very sad for those of us who care so much for her. At last check she was on oxygen and unresponsive and I feel very helpless being so far away; but MY sister is there and we are in nearly constant contact. However if I suddenly disappear from these boards - that is why.
