I have a Windows Vista, yes. But, I have no idea if Firefox can be installed, how I would install it, or even where to get it. I'm a computer-illerterate person when it comes to computers, I can surf the web and do grapics, but that's pretty much it.

You can download it from here http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ Just follow the directions to install. After it's up and running you can try it out though I wouldn't suggest making it your default browser (it'll ask if you want to when you start it up) until you know whether you like it or not.

It's not the Mac. Are you on dial-up, satellite, or cable at school? It could be that the machines are old as dirt and therefore getting overwhelmed with all the massivebyte software and graphics and enormous sigs and animations and stuff.

Our Macs work just fine, we add more memory periodically if they start getting bogged down. I have WAY more problems with hangs and crashes at work when we've got Windows running. It takes forFREAKINGever to get an attachment to open. Two minutes once, no joke, and we're constantly getting upgrades to the OS.
