Hmm... Don't recall mentioning my wife in that last total... Which, if I had counted properly, would have been 20, not 19 (I count the voting day as starting at 4:00 am, hereabouts), though not consecutive hourly votes.

Now, when you stay up for over 53 hours to get that many consecutive hourly votes, unassisted, we'll talk =^[.]~=. I dun do that sorta thing, anymore because the missus started to help me out.

Just sayin' VOMP!

Manual mornin' stats VOMP!

(Ruddy runt nom!)

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote

http://www.richlabonte.net/tvvote

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html

ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble getting into the site in heavy traffic you can try an alternate address instead. I recommend bookmarking them all, for rapid transition, if you have trouble voting.

You can only nominate one show per hour, at:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations.html

Voting efficiently (i.e., with minimal time between votes, over the requisite 60 minutes) is crucial to maximizing your voting power. Download FlyVote by FlyVote (a fellow Browncoat voter, so, you know the program is good!). It'll remind you when it's time to vote, each hour: http://usbmicro.com/misc

This is a NEW version of the program, with new features, including buttons to all three "portals" to the voting page, in case one isn't working, or is overloaded, as well as a button to reset the timer, for those occasions when it gets out of sync, because you don't minimize it immediately after voting. Simply hit the reset and then minimize and you are back on a 1 hour schedule. Download it to replace the older version.

Top two shows as of this morning:

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Total votes Firefly: 599,337 (598,284)

Total votes Xena: 485,384 (484,712)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,053 (774) times.

Yesterday, Xenites voted 672 (494) times.

(Xenites voted 381 (280) times less than Browncoats, yesterday.

Yesterday, Browncoat votes rose by 279; Xenite votes rose by 178.

Firefly is 113,953 (113,572) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #23 show Star Trek: The Original Series 111,997. That puts us at 11,047 (11,428) votes away from a 125k vote lead, about 28.99 (40.81) days!

We'll get our next banner, for our next big goal, 600,000 votes, in another 663 (1,716) votes, and, another .63 (2.22) days! Look for it tomorrow!

6,432,439 (6,419,446) votes have been counted as of 03/26/08. Yesterday, 12,993 (9,487) votes were cast. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast in that period, we needed to vote 1,300 (949) times, of which we fell short by 247 votes. Our share fell to 9.3174145% (9.3198703%) of all votes ever cast. Our share of the voting pie remains at 9%.

The Easter doldrums seem to be largely behind us. Most stunningly, Jericho got 977 votes, yesterday, most likely the result of a "final episode push." We need to be wary, though; we don't need the Rangers usurping us as top-scoring show

-Raycheetah =^[.]^=

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shall we?):

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 526 (411) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 318 (230) votes, yesterday, in 161.8 (187.08) days. BSG is also in pursuit of the 5th Hall of Fame slot, and, is 14,405 (14,931) votes, and, 27.39 (36.33) days, away!

#7 show Buffy got 565 (452) votes, yesterday. Currently, Buffy is receiving enough votes to pass #6 show Farscape, which received 373 (256) votes, yesterday, in 83.94 (83.21) days. Buffy is also in pursuit of the 6th Hall of Fame slot, and, is 41,822 (42,387) votes, and, 74.02 (93.78) days, away, while Farscape is 69.91 (101.87) days from getting there, first.

Buffy's no longer ahead in the Hall of Fame race, but, she's very close!

#10 show Angel got 469 (364) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to pass #9 show Combat!, which received 377 (330) votes, yesterday, in 109.84 (299.91) days.

#11 show Jericho got 977 (513) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to pass Angel in 6.71 (26.3) days. What can ya do? The Jericho Rangers are on the warpath, now that their show has been cancelled!

#33 show Dark Shadows got 394 (285) votes, and, is currently on track to pass #32 show, Star Trek: DS9, which received 248 (175) votes, yesterday, in 2.6 (4.78) days.

#42 show (#2 in the Nominations Poll) Blood Ties got 410 (347) votes, and, is currently on track to pass #41 show, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, which got 73 (56) votes, in 30.21 (36.15) days.

Thanks, again, for your time, and, for your support of these great shows!

P.S.: For those who are interested in Moonlight in the Nominations Poll:

#50 show (#10 in the Nominations Poll) Moonlight Total votes 24,604 (24,245)

Moonlight got 359 (262) votes, yesterday, not passing any shows. It will take at least 6 more days to pass Wagon Train.

AND...

Surface 6005
The Rookies 5852

That's 168 daily votes, topped 6k, and, gave The Rookies the slip! Well done!

Jst ribbin' you Ray. No need to get defensive VOMP (Surface)

Another in 10 minutes or so

Meanwhile, here is...
----------------------------------
(Booming voice) The Surface Daily Report

I'd like to thank you all for getting our numbers back up where they should be.

Yesterday we got 168 Nominations (2 shy of a new record)

Woooo Hoooo.

Heroes received 17, which makes it two days away from being history (unless we pull a miraculous 240 Noms today)

Take that, Kevin Reilly

Let's take them down.

By the way, we are coming up on a couple of shows with actual voting fans. Be prepared for a battle. Miracles got 79 Noms yesterday. The Dresden Files got 50

I would expect them to be geared up for our arrival
--------------------------------------------------------------
The Rookies proved to be just that with zero Noms.

Surface 6005 (168)
The Rookies 5852
--------------------------------------------------------------
Please note: I am using a new format for diplaying the shows targetted..

The number in parentheses, next to each show, is the previous day's nom total (if available)
Between each show, is the number of noms to the next show.

Heroes 6226 (17)

221

VOMP (Surface) x 2

Upcoming 1st John Doe today

Rallem - Did you see the brief description of Surface I wrote several posts back?

I'll repeat two of the comments I made here, to save you looking back, jstn case you didn't see them...

Thanks for the help Rallem. I'll write up something about Surface for you, but I will tell you this. If you can find someone with the DVD or find it on I-Tunes or something, watch the last scene in Episode 2 (fishing boat) and the opening scene in Episode 3 (parasailing).

If you watch those two scenes and aren't totally hooked, you probably won't like the show.

I have hooked lots of people who are now fanatical, by showing them those two scenes.

Rallem - A show about the sea? Yes, but so much more. New life-forms, a boy and his "unusual pet", clones, a worldwide, decades long conspirarcy, a young woman scientist and a man investigating his brothers strange death, who discover all this, and tsunamis.

That's about as brief a description as I can come up with. It's a bit like trying to write a paragraph explaining "Dune"

Rallem - I didn't mean to imply that it was like Dune, except that it's an extremely complicated story, that's all.

I loved the Dune movie from the SCi Fi channel (I think) as well. Watched it on DVD recently.

Anyway, this is NOT a VOMP. I simply came back to share something hysterically funny.

Before clicking this link however, you had better sit down and put down any hot liquids you may be holding.

On my board we have a thread called "They Walk Among Us" which is dedicated to stupid people.

VOMP'd along the Surface this time.
Story for bedtime:
My best friend had just moved to a 'transitional' neighborhood in Portland, OR last year when upon opening the back door one evening, he noticed a card on the floor by the door. Picking it up, he saw it was someone's driver's license. The idiot, would-be burgler had tried to jimmie the lock using his own license and it had slipped through into the house.
There was no challenge in trying to track that guy down.
What a moron.
