Ni Hao!

I just wanted to pop in and say good evening and I hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

I'm here to make a brief announcement that a couple of us in the High Desert area of SoCal are starting up a High Desert Browncoats group in support of the SoCal Browncoats, their charity events and all Browncoats in general. The great news for us is we will be able to organize and host our own shindigs in the future, but even better news is that we will be able to represent our corner of the 'Verse at any other Browncoat events in your area (ie. DragonCon, Comic Con, etc)!

If you know anyone living in the High Desert area of SoCal (Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley & Barstow) we would love if you could point them in our direction. Our link is:

http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/HighDesertBrowncoats

We'll be sure to point fellow BC's from your area your way as well.

Thanks for allowing us to be a part of this crazy, amazing thing called 'Browncoats'.

PS~ Two of our members, myself included, are also members of the 76th Independent Battalion. The High Desert is representing itself for the 76th as well! Huzzah!

Love the High Desert (Apple Valley, rah!)

Thanks for the **BUMP**

I love Apple Valley, too. You'd be amazed how fast it's growing out there these days. Sheesh! :D

I'm at the point where I think I'd rather not know.
AV used to be very much The Rim. My
favorite visit there was to a house up on the
edge (nothing past it but some cool climbing-
rocks) made mostly of concrete for which the
family had carried the water out from town.

There has been some wonderful oral history
collected, transcribed and bound, which covers
pioneer years in the High Desert and other SoCal
locations. Definitely "Once Upon a Time in the
West," or The Rim.

Bumpishly yours!
