Me, as fan of the Uncanny X-Men comic and their spin-offs, very much regard the tv Mutant X as a rip-off clone. What always suprised me was that Marvel agreed to lend out one of their comic book titles out to such a crappy tv show. I watched most of the first season from the start, thinking that with at least some influence from Marvel it was bound to become better. Boy was I disappointed...

I dropped it like a stone when storytelling, acting (if you think Power Rangers is the best acting around you'd have a different opinion than mine, surely), and boooooring sets. Ever noticed that they always shoot the scenes away from the homebase in the same warehouse and long white corridors yet pretend it was different locations? I can forgive Men from U.N.C.L.E. for that, but a modern sci-fi show? Nah...

The show Mutant X has noting in common with the X-universe as created by Marvel. So cheap rip-off clone. The only thing it shared with the X-universe was the concept of recruiting powerful young people with special powers into a fighting unit to protect less fortunate powerful young people (those still in the clutches of that guy with the white wig and Elton John sunglasses).

Hmm... the same background thing sounds like a cowboy movie i watched last year... it was about bullriding and they clamed to be going to all these different rodeos to bullride, but every single run you saw in the backround you saw Brawley Cattle Call in the back ground! My mom could tell it was that arena even before she saw the sign (grew up going to that rodeo)

what a low budget movie
