Mornin' stats BOMP!

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 71.3 (71.8) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate). If we can average 1,000 Firefly votes/day, we can reach 750,000, three-quarters of a million votes! Let's shoot for that as a meaningful goal, and keep the daily average up!

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote

http://www.richlabonte.net/tvvote

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html

ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble, you can try an alternate address instead.

You can vote for more as many Top 40 shows as you like, once every hour. You can only nominate one show per hour, at:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations.html

Download the FlyVote voting timer, a NEW version of the program. It'll remind you when it's time to vote, each hour: http://usbmicro.com/misc

Votes are counted per network IP, so, don't go to the library or your office and vote hourly on each computer on the subnet, or all votes will be thrown out; multiple votes on rotating IPs will likewise be rejected.

Top two shows as of this morning:

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Total votes Firefly: 678,344 (677,321)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,023 (1,015) times, 8 more than the previous day. Shiny! Let's keep that up!

Total votes Xena: 526,143 (525,642)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 501 (480) times, 21 more than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 522 (535) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

Firefly is 152,201 (151,679) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #21 show Trapper John, M.D. 146,687. That puts us at 22,799 (23,321) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 43.68 (43.59) days, based on current voting.

We'll get our next banner, for 680,000 votes, in another 1,656 (2,679) votes, and 1.62 (2.64) days!

Our ultimate goal, 750,000 votes, is 71,656 (72,679) votes, and 70.04 (71.6) days away! We're just within range in the effort to reach our goal on time. Let's keep those daily totals up!

7,388,704 (7,375,308) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 06/12/08. Yesterday, 13,396 (13,276) votes were cast. Our share of the voting pie remains at 9%.

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shiny? We accomplish more together than we would separately! Let's continue to support our friends! Browncoats never leave a friend behind!):

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 496 (457) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 318 (320) votes, yesterday, in 101.33 (132.96) days.

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 455 (625) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG.

#11 show Angel got 516 (486) votes, yesterday, receiving enough votes to pass #10 show Combat!, which received 389 (443) votes, in 9.87 (32.09) days.

Many thanks for your support! Let's vote Angel past Combat!

#15 show Babylon 5 got 376 (379) votes, yesterday, and, is on track to pass #14 show Stargate SG-1, which got 346 (361) votes, in 25.83 (44.72) days.

The Babylonians could still use some help, as well, folks!

#27 show Dark Shadows got 363 (376) votes, yesterday, receiving enough votes to to pass #26 show Star Trek: The Next Generation, which got 236 (231) votes, in 16.81 (15.6) days.

Thanks for giving Dark Shadows your ongoing support!

Blood Ties got 710 (644) votes, yesterday, passing Northern Exposure, which got 206 (179) votes. Blood Ties is the new #38 show!! Blood Ties is on track to pass #37 show, Queer as Folk, which got 79 (78) votes, yesterday, in 1.92 (3.25) days.

#44 show (#4 in the Nominations Poll) Moonlight got 639 (675) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #43 show The Professionals, which got 109 (114) votes, yesterday, in .92 (1.81) days. Moonlight will be the new #43 show tomorrow!

Looking ahead, Moonlight will pass (current) #37 show, Queer as Folk, which got 79 (78) votes, yesterday, in 64.31 (61.26) days, to enter the Top 40!

Now that Blood Ties has entered the Top 40, let's focus on getting Moonlight there, as well!

Thanks, again, for your time, and, for your support of these great shows!

BTW I have from Hula on my site; Battlestar Galactica Classic, Battlestar 1980, Firefly, Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot, Lost in Space seasons 1 & 2, News Radio and The Tick if you ever feel like watching these shows. I sent in a request for Hula to carry Space 1999, so I hope they can and will get that on their site soon.

Getting ready for bed vump.

My favorite customer complaint transcript so far:
"My phone isn't working."
"Allright sir, how long ago did it start working again?"
"It still isn't working."
"So you are using another phone to call me?"
"No, of course not. I've only got the one."
"Allright. Where were you when the trouble began?"
"Oh I don't know! Just get it from your satellite tracking system!"
-Customer disconnected call-

I know you're calling to complain, but the rep on the phone isn't the one who munged your call, and the engineers (like me) can't fix it if you don't tell us where and what the trouble is.

Mornin' stats BOMP!

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 71.11 (71.3) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate). If we can average 1,000 Firefly votes/day, we can reach 750,000, three-quarters of a million votes!

Our ultimate goal, 750,000 votes, is 70,676 (71,656) votes, and 72.12 (70.04) days away! We've fallen behind our target date by a day, folks! Let's keep those daily totals up!

Total votes Firefly: 679,324 (678,344)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 980 (1,023) times, 43 fewer than the previous day. Not so shiny! Let's see if we can keep the totals close to 1,000/day over the weekend!

Total votes Xena: 526,626 (526,143)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 483 (501) times, 18 fewer than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 497 (522) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

Firefly is 152,698 (152,201) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #21 show Trapper John, M.D. 146,911. That puts us at 22,302 (22,799) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 44.87 (43.68) days, based on current voting.

We'll get our next banner, for 680,000 votes, in another 676 (1,656) votes, and .69 (1.62) days! Look for it tomorrow!

7,401,733 (7,388,704) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 06/13/08. Yesterday, 13,029 (13,396) votes were cast. Our share of the voting pie remains at 9%.

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shiny? We accomplish more together than we would separately! Let's continue to support our friends! Browncoats never leave a friend behind!):

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 455 (496) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 319 (318) votes, yesterday, in 131.63 (101.33) days.

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 628 (455) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG by the end of the Poll.

#11 show Angel got 530 (516) votes, yesterday, receiving enough votes to pass #10 show Combat!, which received 395 (389) votes, in 8.28 (9.87) days.

Many thanks for your support! Let's vote Angel past Combat!

#15 show Babylon 5 got 368 (376) votes, yesterday, and, is on track to pass #14 show Stargate SG-1, which got 303 (346) votes, in 10.92 (25.83) days.

The Babylonians could still use some help, as well, folks!

#27 show Dark Shadows got 364 (363) votes, yesterday, receiving enough votes to to pass #26 show Star Trek: The Next Generation, which got 250(236) votes, in 17.73 (16.81) days.

Thanks for giving Dark Shadows your ongoing support!

#38 show Blood Ties got 698 (710) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #37 show, Queer as Folk, which got 66 (79) votes, yesterday, in .91 (1.92) days. Blood Ties will be the new #37 show tomorrow!

Moonlight got 652 (639) votes, yesterday, passing The Professionals, which got 106 (109) votes, yesterday. Moonlight is the new #43 show! Moonlight is on track to pass #42 show Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, which got 60 votes, yesterday, in 21.91 days.

Looking ahead, Moonlight will pass (current) #37 show, Queer as Folk, which got 66 (79) votes, yesterday, in 60.45 (64.31) days, to enter the Top 40!

Now that Blood Ties has entered the Top 40, let's focus on getting Moonlight there, as well!

Thanks, again, for your time, and, for your support of these great shows!
