I first saw this Headline in Yahoo after I took my dog out this morning and thought, Hmmm is this some long lost Nazi Treasure, but then upon further reading I think it just may be. Let’s look at the details: 1 the movie was made in 1927. 2 the movie was a lost German Sci Fi Classic. 3 The movie was in a "Private Collection" for years until it found its way to a museum. 4 Argentina was the destination for some Nazi War Criminals after World War II.

Now I wonder who would have the clout necessary to get his hands on a version of a German Sci Fi Classic made the way the Director intended the movie to be seen.

Wait -are you trying to say that Hitler was in Argentina?

had a lot of excited waves about this:) great great film!

if the discovery seems a funny story - go check out how and where they found the spanish version of Browning's Dracula (directed by someone else).

as for the nazi thing - it split the Lang marriage as i recall. (?wrongly?)

Fritz Lang's wife (Thea) wrote Metropolis and stayed in Germany when he fled the regime.

Lang was angered when his version
of Die Nibelungen was used as propaganda

but that was also (co)written by his wife.

complex, huh.
