Old charts are currently above. Found some missing data (again! Dunno where it's going, I have the correct numbers in my daily post, but the Top40 is gone).

Ray - I hate to keep bothering you, but if you'd be kind enough to send me the Top40 from July 9th, I'd appreciate it.

On the way, FT!

This is NOT a VOMP.

(Reposted from previous thread:)

Firefly is still AHEAD of schedule!

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 36.19 (38.98) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

Let's talk about Firefly's TV Vote goals and achievements, for a moment:

1. We've been the #1 show in the Poll since August 17th, 2007, when we passed Xena. We had tremendous numbers, in those days, with daily totals in the 1,500s and up. No one will pass us in TV Vote.

2. Our ultimate goal, 750,000 votes, is 40,768 (42,165) votes, and 29.18 (36.32) days away! We're on-target, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,102 (1,082) votes to stay on track.

3. Firefly has had the top daily score every day since Sunday, April 29, 2007, when Xena beat us by 160 votes, something no other show has accomplished EVER SINCE! It is worth noting that on Saturday, July 6, Firefly got 976 votes, while Moonlight got 968, a difference of only 8 votes. Especially in light of the fact that Nominee shows which enter the Top 40 invariably get a boost in daily votes, we need to work hard to keep our daily totals ahead of the hard-charging Moonlight voters, even if they are our friends! Let's use this as an incentive to vote harder for Firefly, especially on the weekends, when we are most vulnerable to a pass!

4. Firefly holds the record for consecutive days at 1,000+ daily votes, 75, cut short only by the Lexx autovote scandal last October, which shut down the Poll for about a week.

5. Firefly is 168,994 (168,149) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #17 show Laramie 166,325. That puts us at 6,006 (6,851) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 7.11 (10.16) days, based on current voting. Surprisingly, we do not hold the highest lead of a show over its closest competition. That distinction currently belongs to Bonanaza, with a lead of 173,324 (173,191) over Gunsmoke. We'll soon have that tied up.

6. Firefly's share of the Top 40 voting pie remains at 9%. Again, this unique achievement is essentially unassailable, but until recently, our percentage had been slipping. Let's keep the votes up, and our share of the pie!

7. The one record which has eluded us is most votes in a single day. Xena holds that record, dating back to March 30, 2007: 2,803. Firefly topped out on March 7, 2007: 2,359. We could still beat Xena's total, but it would take better than doubling our current best daily vote totals to do it. It's still worth thinking about!

Let's keep up the hard burn, show everyone our Browncoat Fan Power, maintain our records, and clinch our final milestone!

ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble, you can try an alternate address instead.

You can vote for more as many Top 40 shows as you like, once every hour. You can only nominate one show per hour, at:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations.html

Download the FlyVote voting timer, a NEW version of the program. It'll remind you when it's time to vote, each hour: http://usbmicro.com/misc

Votes are counted per network IP, so, don't go to the library or your office and vote hourly on each computer on the subnet, or all votes will be thrown out; multiple votes on rotating IPs will likewise be rejected.

Top two shows as of this morning:

Total votes Firefly: 709,232 (707,835)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,397 (1,161) times, 236 MORE than the previous day. AWESOME SHINY! Thanks to everyone who is answering the call! With these kinds of numbers, we can preserve and advance our records!

Total votes Xena: 540,238 (539,686)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 552 (487) times, 65 more than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 845 (674) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

We'll get our next banner, for 710,000 votes, in another 768 (2,165) votes, and .55 (1.86) days! Look for it, tomorrow!

7,776,791 (7,761,397) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 07/11/08. Yesterday, 15,394 (14,469) votes were cast.

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shiny? We accomplish more together than we would separately!)...

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 594 (565) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 450 (452) votes, yesterday, in 89.78 (115.68) days.

The Colonials need urgent help, if they are to advance again before the Poll ends! Please lend 'em a hand!

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 695 (592) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG by the end of the Poll. Buffy's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #7 show Farscape.

#9 show Angel got 628 (551) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Jericho by the end of the Poll. Angel's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #10 show The X-Files.

#14 show Babylon 5 got 453 (418) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #13 show La Femme Nikita, which got 235 (246) votes, in 1.7 (3.42) days!

#25 show Dark Shadows got 401 (340) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #24 show Highway to Heaven, which got 291 (302) votes, in .09 (3.16) days. With your help, Dark Shadows will be the new #24 show, tomorrow!

Thank you for continuing to lend your support to our friends, the Barnabas Browncoats!

#35 show Blood Ties got 631 (636) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #34 show JAG, which got 325 (270) votes, yesterday, in 4.45 (4.56) days.

The Fitzroyals are stalled; let's give 'em a boost!

#42 show (#2 in the Nominations) Moonlight got 1,069 (1,023) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #41 show (#1 in the Nominations) Cleopatra 2525, which got 22 (21) votes, in 5.47 (6.76) days.

Looking ahead, Moonlight will pass #40 show, Queer as Folk, which got 115 (84) votes, yesterday, in 14.6 (15.84) days, to enter the Top 40!

Moonlight shows every sign of being a Top 40 juggernaut... And now, they are gettin' really close to surpassing our weekend daily vote totals, for which we'll have to congratulate 'em, if we can't prevent it from happening. A Browncoat never leaves a friend behind, but a friend who can outrun ya don't hardly need your help for a carry, either! And, they've been kinda quiet on the Cortex, so I dun know if they're even aware of the help some Browncoats have extended them.

Anyway, I aim to maintain Firefly's unbroken record as the highest daily-scoring show by encouraging Browncoats to vote more (nothin' like a scary, blood-drinkin' man comin' up behind ya to get you movin'!), and gently remindin' y'all that, when Moonlight hits the Top 40, their daily votes WILL jump, just like they always do for Noms that reach the big time. They can't pass us, but they could break our streak of top votin' days, which I would as soon not see happen.

Mornin' stats VOMP!

Buffy and Angel posted great numbers, yesterday, with Angel actually tying Jericho! Firefly has also enjoyed a burst of votes. We need to keep this up for a few more weeks, folks! Dark Shadows went offroad, leaving Highway to Heaven behind; now the Barnabas Browncoats are headin' out on a Star Trek (Original Series), possibly their last pass of the Poll. Babylon 5 will pass La Femme Nikita (a fine show) tomorrow, to become lucky #13 in the Poll.

Firefly is still AHEAD of schedule!

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 37.29 (36.19) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

2. Our ultimate goal, 750,000 votes, is 39,472 (40,768) votes, and 30.46 (29.18) days away! We're on-target, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,097 (1,102) votes to stay on track.

4. Firefly holds the record for consecutive days at 1,000+ daily votes, 75, cut short only by the Lexx autovote scandal last October, which shut down the Poll for about a week.

5. Firefly is 169,770 (168,994) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #17 show Laramie 166,574. That puts us at 5,230 (6,006) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 6.74 (7.11) days, based on current voting. Surprisingly, we do not hold the highest lead of a show over its closest competition. That distinction currently belongs to Bonanaza, with a lead of 173,466 (173,324) over Gunsmoke. We'll soon have that tied up.

6. Firefly's share of the Top 40 voting pie remains at 9%. Again, this unique achievement is essentially unassailable, but until recently, our percentage had been slipping. Let's keep the votes up, and our share of the pie!

Total votes Xena: 540,758 (540,238)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 520 (552) times, 32 fewer than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 776 (845) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

We got our next banner, for 710,000 votes, today! Shiny as fresh bao and cider!

7,791,336 (7,776,791) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 07/12/08. Yesterday, 14,545 (15,394) votes were cast.

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 708 (695) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG by the end of the Poll. Buffy's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #7 show Farscape.

#9 show Angel got 668 (628) votes, yesterday, tying, but not receiving enough votes to pass Jericho by the end of the Poll. Angel's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #10 show The X-Files.

#14 show Babylon 5 got 443 (453) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #13 show La Femme Nikita, which got 228 (235) votes, in .81 (1.7) days! Babylon 5 will be the new #13 show, tomorrow!

Dark Shadows got 354 (401) votes, yesterday, passing Highway to Heaven, which got 292 (291) votes. With your help, Dark Shadows is the new #24 show, today! Dark Shadows is on track to pass #23 show Star Trek: The Original Series, which got 249 (308) votes, in 23.45 (27.6) days!

Thank you for continuing to lend your support to our friends, the Barnabas Browncoats!

#35 show Blood Ties got 586 (631) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #34 show JAG, which got 272 (325) votes, yesterday, in 3.34 (4.45) days.

#42 show (#2 in the Nominations) Moonlight got 1,062 (1,069) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #41 show (#1 in the Nominations) Cleopatra 2525, which got 31 (22) votes, in 4.55 (5.47) days.

Looking ahead, Moonlight will pass #40 show, Queer as Folk, which got 108 (115) votes, yesterday, in 14.05 (14.6) days, to enter the Top 40!

Moonlight shows every sign of being a Top 40 juggernaut... And now, they are gettin' really close to surpassing our weekend daily vote totals, for which we'll have to congratulate 'em, if we can't prevent it from happening.
