(Reposted from previous thread:)

Mornin' stats VOMP!

Firefly is still AHEAD of schedule!

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 38.26 (40.71) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

Let's review Firefly's TV Vote goals and achievements:

1. We've been the #1 show in the Poll since August 17th, 2007, when we passed Xena. We had tremendous numbers, in those days, with daily totals in the 1,500s and up. No one will pass us in TV Vote.

2. Our ultimate goal, 750,000, is 37,347 (38,443) votes, and 34.08 (37.36) days away! We're on-target, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,038 (1,039) votes to stay on track.

3. Firefly has had the top daily score every day since Sunday, April 29, 2007, when Xena beat us by 160 votes, something no other show has accomplished EVER SINCE! It is worth noting that on Saturday, July 6, Firefly got 976 votes, while Moonlight got 968, a difference of only 8 votes. Especially in light of the fact that Nominee shows which enter the Top 40 invariably get a boost in daily votes, we need to work hard to keep our daily totals ahead of the hard-charging Moonlight voters, even if they are our friends! Let's use this as an incentive to vote harder for Firefly, especially on the weekends, when we are most vulnerable to a pass!

4. Firefly holds the record for consecutive days at 1,000+ daily votes, 75, cut short only by the Lexx autovote scandal last October, which shut down the Poll for about a week.

5. Firefly is 170,919 (170,326) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #17 show Laramie 167,031. That puts us at 4,081 (4,674) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 6.88 (8.41) days, based on current voting. We still don't hold the highest lead of a show over its closest competition. That distinction currently belongs to Bonanaza, with a lead of 173,741 (173,604) over Gunsmoke. We'll soon have that tied up.

6. Firefly's share of the Top 40 voting pie remains at 9%. Again, this unique achievement is essentially unassailable, but until recently, our percentage had been slipping. Let's keep the votes up, and our share of the pie!

7. The one record which has eluded us is most votes in a single day. Xena holds that record, dating back to March 30, 2007: 2,803. Firefly topped out on March 7, 2007: 2,359. We could still beat Xena's total, but it would take better than doubling our current best daily vote totals to do it. It's still worth thinking about!

Let's keep up the hard burn, show everyone our Browncoat Fan Power, maintain our records, and clinch our final milestone!

ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble, you can try an alternate address instead.

You can vote for more as many Top 40 shows as you like, once every hour. You can only nominate one show per hour, at:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations.html

Download the FlyVote voting timer, a NEW version of the program. It'll remind you when it's time to vote, each hour: http://usbmicro.com/misc

Votes are counted per network IP, so, don't go to the library or your office and vote hourly on each computer on the subnet, or all votes will be thrown out; multiple votes on rotating IPs will likewise be rejected.

Top two shows as of this morning:

Total votes Firefly: 712,653 (711,557)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,096 (1,029) times, 67 more than the previous day. An improvement, but only just sufficient. We need to keep our daily totals higher, in order to preserve and advance our records!

Total votes Xena: 541,734 (541,231)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 503 (473) times, 30 more than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 593 (556) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

We'll get our next banner, for 715,000 votes, in another 2,347 (3,443) votes, and 2.14 (3.35) days!

7,817,594 (7,804,252) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 07/14/08. Yesterday, 13,342 (12,916) votes were cast.

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shiny? We accomplish more together than we would separately!)...

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 505 (471) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 382 (369) votes, yesterday, in 102.48 (124.78) days.

The Colonials need urgent help, if they are to advance again before the Poll ends! Please lend 'em a hand!

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 595 (583) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG by the end of the Poll. Buffy's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #7 show Farscape.

#9 show Angel got 574 (564) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Jericho by the end of the Poll. Angel's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #10 show The X-Files.

#13 show Babylon 5 got 421 (391) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Little House on the Prairie by the end of the Poll. B5's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #14 show La Femme Nikita.

#24 show Dark Shadows got 356 (341) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #23 show Star Trek: The Original Series, which got 211 (207) votes, in 15.06 (17.37) days!

Thank you for continuing to lend your support to our friends, the Barnabas Browncoats!

#35 show Blood Ties got 485 (498) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #34 show JAG, which got 296 (247) votes, yesterday, in 3.22 (3.18) days.

#42 show (#2 in the Nominations) Moonlight got 1,008 (971) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #41 show (#1 in the Nominations) Cleopatra 2525, which got 31 (35) votes, in 2.84 (4.01) days.

Looking ahead, Moonlight will pass #40 show, Queer as Folk, which got 113 (97) votes, yesterday, in 12.52 (13.84) days, to enter the Top 40!

A Browncoat never leaves a friend behind, but a friend who can outrun ya don't hardly need your help for a carry, either! When Moonlight hits the Top 40, their daily votes WILL jump, just like they always do for Noms that reach the big time, and could break our streak of top votin' days, which I would as soon not see happen.

Yours in the cause,

-Raycheetah =^[.]^=

Delayed all gorram day stats VOMP!

Buffy and Angel both posted numbers in the high 600's. yesterday, while Firefly was 1 vote shy of the 1,300 vote mark. However, and this is actually the first real challenge we've had, Nominee show Moonlight got 1,277 votes, an unprecedented number! Firefly is gonna be hard-pressed to stay ahead of Moonlight in daily votes, a record we have held for well over a year, challenged only by Xena and Jericho. And, when Moonlight gets into the Top 40, it's gonna be even tougher!

Firefly is still AHEAD of schedule!

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 32.47 (38.26) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

Let's review Firefly's TV Vote goals and achievements:

1. We've been the #1 show in the Poll since August 17th, 2007, when we passed Xena. We had tremendous numbers, in those days, with daily totals in the 1,500s and up. No one will pass us in TV Vote.

2. Our ultimate goal, 750,000, is 36,048 (37,347) votes, and 27.75 (34.08) days away! We're on-target, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,093 (1,038) votes to stay on track.

3. Firefly has had the top daily score every day since Sunday, April 29, 2007, when Xena beat us by 160 votes, something no other show has accomplished EVER SINCE! It is worth noting that on Monday, July 14, Firefly got 1,299 votes, while Moonlight got 1,277, a difference of only 22 votes.

5. Firefly is 171,671 (170,919) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #16 show Doctor Who 171,471. That puts us at 3,329 (4,081) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 4.43 (6.88) days, based on current voting. We still don't hold the highest lead of a show over its closest competition. That distinction currently belongs to Bonanaza, with a lead of 173,877 (173,741) over Gunsmoke. We'll soon have that tied up.

6. Firefly's share of the Top 40 voting pie remains at 9%. Again, this unique achievement is essentially unassailable, but until recently, our percentage had been slipping. Let's keep the votes up, and our share of the pie!

Not the best gorram news to finally get posted, VOMP!

I know they're not a contributing member of our cooperative, but if anybody wanted to do a personal favor for the missus and me, I'd take it kindly if anyone cared to throw some votes Ponderosa's AND Bonanza's way. Just sayin'. Xie-xie!

Firefly is still AHEAD of schedule!

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 31.46 (32.47) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

Let's review Firefly's TV Vote goals and achievements:

1. We've been the #1 show in the Poll since August 17th, 2007, when we passed Xena. We had tremendous numbers, in those days, with daily totals in the 1,500s and up. No one will pass us in TV Vote.

2. Our ultimate goal, 750,000, is 34,839 (36,048) votes, and 28.82 (27.75) days away! We're on-target, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,089 (1,093) votes to stay on track.

3. UNTIL TODAY, Firefly has had the top daily score every day since Sunday, April 29, 2007, when Xena beat us by 160 votes. Yesterday, July 15, Nominee show Moonlight broke that streak, achieving 1,295 daily votes, compared to Firefly's 1,209. Let's congratulate the Moonlight voters, who, in managing what no other show has in over a year, have shown their remarkable Fan Power! Let's also use this as an incentive to keep voting hard, to achieve our primary goal, 750,000 votes!

4. Firefly holds the record for consecutive days at 1,000+ daily votes, 75, cut short only by the Lexx autovote scandal last October, which shut down the Poll for about a week.

5. Firefly is 172,326 (171,671) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #16 show Doctor Who 171,899. That puts us at 2,674 (3,329) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 4.08 (4.43) days, based on current voting. We still don't hold the highest lead of a show over its closest competition. That distinction currently belongs to Bonanaza, with a lead of 173,985 (173,877) over Gunsmoke.

Total votes Firefly: 715,161 (713,952)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,209 (1,299) times, 90 fewer than the previous day. Still shiny, and still on track for 750k!

Total votes Xena: 542,835 (542,281)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 554 (547) times, 7 more than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 655 (752) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

We got our next banner, for 715,000 votes, today! Shiny as a hold fulla black market beagles!

7,848,011 (7,832,756) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 07/16/08. Yesterday, 15,255 (15,162) votes were cast.

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shiny? We accomplish more together than we would separately!)...

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 574 (560) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 442 (423) votes, yesterday, in 93.45 (91.01) days.

The Colonials need urgent help, if they are to advance again before the Poll ends! Please lend 'em a hand!

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 658 (667) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG by the end of the Poll. Buffy's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #7 show Farscape.

#9 show Angel got 630 (630) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Jericho by the end of the Poll. Angel's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #10 show The X-Files.

#13 show Babylon 5 got 428 (421) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Little House on the Prairie by the end of the Poll. B5's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #14 show La Femme Nikita.

#24 show Dark Shadows got 390 (395) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #23 show Star Trek: The Original Series, which got 300 (277) votes, in 21.94 (17.5) days!

Thank you for continuing to lend your support to our friends, the Barnabas Browncoats!

Blood Ties got 626 (674) votes, yesterday, passing JAG, which got 300 (345) votes. Blood Ties is the new #34 show, today! Blood Ties is on track to pass #33 show The Man from U.N.C.L.E., which got 239 (225) votes, yesterday, in 23.31 (20.96) days.

#42 show (#2 in the Nominations) Moonlight got a record 1,295 (1,277) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #41 show (#1 in the Nominations) Cleopatra 2525, which got 33 (22) votes, in .21 (1.21) days. Moonlight will be the new #41 show, tomorrow!

Looking ahead, Moonlight will pass #40 show, Queer as Folk, which got 126 (119) votes, yesterday, in 8.36 (8.67) days, to enter the Top 40!

Yours in the cause,

Sad to see our "Top vote getter" streak brought to an end (after more than a year). Congrats to the Moonlight fans! Well done.
I really wish that the poll wasn't ending - just to see if you could make a serious run at us over the long haul.

Ray - Thanks for keeping an eye on the nominations for us! Any vumpin' way for Moonlight will make it to the Top40 before the polls close?

Six days, and Moonlight will be in the Top 40 (I post their position at the bottom of the daily stats).

Delayed mornin' stats VOMP!

I know they're not contributing members of our cooperative, but if anybody wanted to do a personal favor for the missus and me, I'd take it kindly if anyone cared to throw some votes Ponderosa's and Bonanza's way. Bonanza, in particular, is fallin' short of the totals they're gonna need to reach their goal of 500k. Just sayin' that it'd be the neighborly thing to do to help 'em out. Xie-xie!

Firefly is still AHEAD of schedule, but losing ground on daily votes!

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 30.99 (31.46) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

Let's review Firefly's TV Vote goals and achievements:

1. We've been the #1 show in the Poll since August 17th, 2007, when we passed Xena. We had tremendous numbers, in those days, with daily totals in the 1,500s and up. No one will pass us in TV Vote.

2. Our ultimate goal, 750,000, is 33,651 (34,839) votes, and 28.33 (28.82) days away! We're on-target, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,086 (1,089) votes to stay on track.

3. Firefly holds the record for consecutive days at 1,000+ daily votes, 75, cut short only by the Lexx autovote scandal last October, which shut down the Poll for about a week.

4. Firefly is 172,936 (172,326) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #16 show Doctor Who 172,318. That puts us at 2,064 (2,674) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 3.38 (4.08) days, based on current voting. We still don't hold the highest lead of a show over its closest competition. That distinction currently belongs to Bonanaza, with a lead of 174,129 (173,985) over Gunsmoke. We'll soon have that tied up.

5. Firefly's share of the Top 40 voting pie remains at 9%. Again, this unique achievement is essentially unassailable, but until recently, our percentage had been slipping. Let's keep the votes up, and our share of the pie!

Top two shows as of this morning:

Total votes Firefly: 716,349 (715,161)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,188 (1,209) times, 21 fewer than the previous day. Not the direction we want our votes to trend, Browncoats! We lost a day off our lead, yesterday, as our votes dropped.

Total votes Xena: 543,413 (542,835)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 578 (554) times, 24 more than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 610 (655) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

We'll get our next banner, for 720,000 votes, in another 3,651 (4,839) votes, and 3.07 (4) days!

7,862,884 (7,848,011) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 07/17/08. Yesterday, 14,873 (15,255) votes were cast.

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shiny? We accomplish more together than we would separately!)...

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 547 (574) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 434 (442) votes, yesterday, in 108.17 (93.45) days.

The Colonials need urgent help, if they are to advance again before the Poll ends! Please lend 'em a hand!

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 661 (658) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG by the end of the Poll. Buffy's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #7 show Farscape.

#9 show Angel got 652 (630) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Jericho by the end of the Poll. Angel's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #10 show The X-Files. Angel is 34.57 days from the Hall of Fame, about 4 days behind. In order to enter the HoF before the Poll ends, Angel needs a daily average of at least 727 votes.

#13 show Babylon 5 got 395 (428) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Little House on the Prairie by the end of the Poll. B5's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #14 show La Femme Nikita.

#24 show Dark Shadows got 392 (390) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #23 show Star Trek: The Original Series, which got 289 (300) votes, in 18.17 (21.94) days!

Thank you for continuing to lend your support to our friends, the Barnabas Browncoats!

#34 Blood Ties got 593 (626) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #33 show The Man from U.N.C.L.E., which got 260 (239) votes, yesterday, in 26.09 (23.31) days.

Moonlight got 1,389 (1,295) votes, yesterday, passing Cleopatra 2525, which got 13 (33) votes. Moonlight is the new #41 show (#1 in the Nominations Poll), today!

Looking ahead, Moonlight will pass #40 show, Queer as Folk, which got 120 (126) votes, yesterday, in 6 (8.36) days, to enter the Top 40!
