The most appropriate way of dealing with this would not be to acknowledge the patient's delusion, let alone interact with him on that level. It'd just reinforce the problem. -Raycheetah ='[.]'= The enjoyment of any good thing is only enhanced by sharing it with others. http://fans4writers.com/ support the WGA writers strike http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=30176

This guy didn't go crazy because he was a fan of Firefly, he went crazy because there is something seriously wrong with him. He probably believes that he's Malcolm Reynolds because there is this subconscious part of him that needs to believe that he's that kind of strong, independent character. Someone like him forty years ago might have thought that he was John Wayne.

There are people with malicious intent who come here, or this site wouldn't be getting hacked so often, and a little story like the one which started this thread can be blown out of proportion and start showing up on the regular News. On the other hand this could be the case where any exposure is good exposure for us fans, but I wonder how the creators of Firefly feel would about this type of exposure. http://swyzzlestyx.com/index.html

Sure his family wouldn't care for it. I know I wouldn't, if it was somebody I cared about.
