RAYCHEETAH

Many thanks to those Big Damn Heroes who are adding votes for Ponderosa and Bonanza! Bonanza, in particular, was fallin' short of the totals they were gonna need to reach their goal of 500k; with your help, they've had a great boost, and stand to make their goal, if we keep this up. It's the neighborly thing to do to help 'em out, and all it costs is an additional click or two when you vote. It'll give us a little something extra to share in celebrating when the Poll ends. Xie-xie!

Firefly is now 1 day BEHIND schedule!

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 27.64 (30.99) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

Our ultimate goal, 750,000, is 29,355 (30,389) votes, and 28.39 (31.49) days away! With a bad voting day, yesterday, we're falling behind, and we need to maintain a daily average of 1,048 (1,126) votes to stay on track.

At this point, every vote we fail to cast is lost forever; we won't always have "tomorrow" to make it up! We're approaching the end of a marathon race, getting ready to sprint toward the finish, and we all need to push harder, to stay on pace to make 750,000 votes!

Firefly is 175,104 (174,631) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #16 show Doctor Who 173,922. We've finally reached a 175,000 vote lead! We still don't hold the highest lead of a show over its closest competition. That distinction currently belongs to Bonanaza, with a lead of 175,287 (174,972) over Gunsmoke. We should overtake that lead, tomorrow!

Let's keep up the hard burn, show everyone our Browncoat Fan Power, maintain our records, and clinch our final milestone!

ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble, you can try an alternate address instead.

You can vote for more as many Top 40 shows as you like, once every hour. You can only nominate one show per hour, at:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations.html

Download the FlyVote voting timer, a NEW version of the program. It'll remind you when it's time to vote, each hour: http://usbmicro.com/misc

Votes are counted per network IP, so, don't go to the library or your office and vote hourly on each computer on the subnet, or all votes will be thrown out; multiple votes on rotating IPs will likewise be rejected.

Top two shows as of this morning:

Total votes Firefly: 720,645 (719,611)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,034 (965) times, 69 more than the previous day. Better, but still below what we need to stay on target. We're within 4 weeks of the end of the Poll, and we need to keep the daily votes up!

Total votes Xena: 545,541 (544,980)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 561 (477) times, 84 more than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 473 (488) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

We got our next banner, for 720,000 votes, today! Shiny as leavin' Reaver territory!

7,921,431 (7,906,794) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 07/21/08. Yesterday, 14,637 (13,522) votes were cast.

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shiny? We accomplish more together than we would separately!)...

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 525 (500) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 422 (386) votes, yesterday, in 114.12 (103.99) days.

The Colonials need urgent help, if they are to advance again before the Poll ends! Please lend 'em a hand!

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 602 (565) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG by the end of the Poll. Buffy's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #7 show Farscape.

#9 show Angel got 559 (532) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Jericho by the end of the Poll. Angel's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #10 show The X-Files. Angel is 36.02 (38.9) days from the Hall of Fame, about 8 (8) days behind. In order to enter the HoF before the Poll ends, Angel needs a daily average of at least 720 (767) votes.

#13 show Babylon 5 got 390 (350) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass Little House on the Prairie by the end of the Poll. B5's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #14 show La Femme Nikita.

#24 show Dark Shadows got 326 (326) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #23 show Star Trek: The Original Series, which got 280 (260) votes, in 34.24 (24.56) days!

Our friends, the Barnabas Browncoats, need your help if they are to make this last pass before the Poll ends!

#34 Blood Ties got 499 (454) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #33 show The Man from U.N.C.L.E., which got 259 (228) votes, yesterday, in 31.24 (34.23) days.

The Fitzroyals are gonna need our help to advance, again, before the Poll ends!

#41 show (#1 in the Nominations Poll) Moonlight got 1,338 (1,243) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #40 show, Queer as Folk, which got 148 (137) votes, yesterday, in 2.16 (3.4) days, to enter the Top 40!

Yours in the cause,

-Raycheetah =^[.]^=

P.S.: I snerched this quote about us, 'cause I am never disappointed in my shiny Browncoat Brothers and sisters when opportunity arises to prove it:

"Once again, the Browncoats have proven to be both an intelligent and generous group of people in a world where each quality sometimes seems to be in very short supply." - Chris Buchanan
