Hey everyone,
I'm new here and a new convert as well. Saw Serenity a few years back, thought it was great. Recently gave in to all of my friends smacking me in the face with the Firefly dvd, and damn, am I glad they beat me up.

I'm riding high on my new fangurl buzz and can't wait to meet some new people so I can have my own shot at face smackin'.

I swear by my pretty flowered bonnet

Welcome, Gemi! I found this place back...awhile...ago, but unfortunately long after the joy of Firefly being on the air and Serenity's theatrical release. I've been away for a spell, but now I return.

Since you've titled the thread "New Blood," I'll take this opportunity to hijack your thread and report to the group that in my time of absence I have recruited two new Browncoats to the cause. Not forum-types, so you won't see them here, but they're out there. Trust me.

Now, returning the thread to its rightful owner and topic, let me say that two (now three) measly replies is a pretty poor reception for a new crew member. When I was around last, a new face got a LOT more attention! So, I'm sorry for that, and now doing my part. So, kick back, relax, help yourself to an ice planet, and have a good time. Though I can't account for their silence at the moment, you'll find all the Browncoats about to be clean and virtuous folk...so to speak.

The reason for our silence is the website was broken -- nobody could post. All better now.

Btw my wife just bought a new Christmas ornament from a friends comic bookshop in Beaumont, Tx.Inara's shuttle. He was telling us that for some time now he’s been telling another friend of ours ( in Dallas) to watch FF. He got a call from him the other day, says he watched the whole series in a weekend. Another browncoat is born. Aren’t some people lucky to have browncoat friends that pester them….
