This is kind of an update...

Sunday, August 17th, from 5pm to about 8pm, there will be a FREE screening in Bloomington IN at The Cinemat (4th and Walnut streets) of the fan-made Documentary "Done the Impossible: The fans' tale of Firefly and Serenity". I'll have goodies to give away, and plan to give a prize to the best costume, if anyone is brave enough to do it. There will also be a Charity Raffle ($2 per chance) for a Grand Prize "Browncoat Survival Kit", consisting of a Serenity Lunch Box, A Serenity Money pack, Alliance Travel Poster postcards, and a full screen copy of the BDM. Other prizes will also be raffled off.

Saturday, Sept 13th, there will be a Browncoats Backwoods Bash (a fancy way to say "picnic") at the Pinewood Shelter in SpringMill State Park (Mitchell, IN), from 11am- ??pm. I'll be providing the "Good Dogs", buns and condiments. You bring your own drinks and side dishes to "pitch in". Please RSVP browncoats@excite.com to let me know how many dogs to bring. Currently, we have as many as 15 people coming. The shelter officially holds 40 people, but we can stretch that. There will be video entertainment, and a singalong if enough are interested. We'll be very close to the Nature Center, and within walking distance of the village. In addition, there's the Gus Grissom Memorial, and caves to explore. The only real cost will be admittance to the park, which is $5 per car on weekends. I decided to do this in honor of my friends from Annapolis, who will be visiting that weekend.

Sunday, Sept 28th will be the Third Sereniversary screening of "Serenity" at The Cinemat, admission price is $3. It'll be from 5pm to 8pm, and will feature a $5 Charity Raffle for two spectacular Prizes: A "River Triumphant" Statue (valued at $90), and a set of "Serenity Blueprints", numbered and signed by the Graphic Artists who designed them (a $100+ value). Other fun and surprises... of course.
