Quote:Nathan Fillion's Castle Inches Toward Reality ABC enters "crunch time" with a group of new pilots. US, August 6, 2008 - ABC has only two new shows airing at the start of this fall season. Their development schedule was pretty much derailed by the writers' strike. Now they're entering "crunch time," according to The Hollywood Reporter. A number of pilots are nearing initial orders due to positive response from early screenings. One such pilot is Castle starring Firefly's own Captain Reynolds, Nathan Fillion. He stars as a "horror novelist working for the NYPD." The show has "tested well" according to the Reporter. Other shows moving closer to airing include the Alyssa Milano vehicle previously titled Single With Parents (currently untitled), and Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas's Good Behavior. The Reporter also notes that, in addition to the writers strike induced delay, "ABC has been taking its time, asking for episodic story lines for most of the pilots before making series pickup decisions."
