Many thanks to all of the Browncoats and friends that helped to push Firefly over the top. The previous record, set by Xena: Warrior Princess on March 30, 2007 of 2,803 was beaten by 55 votes today when Firefly received 2,858 votes.

Alright, here's what we got for our efforts, yesterday: WE DID THE IMPOSSIBLE! 2,858 VOTES! We beat Xena's top score, 2,803, by 55 votes. SHINY SHINY SHINY! Moonlight has held the top daily vote totals for the past 22 consecutive days; we also beat their score, yesterday, 1,654, by 1,204 votes, another record, this one for best positive daily vote differential over the next highest voting show! Our previous record in that category was 999 daily votes over Xena, last year.

The missus and I put in 24 total votes on our IP, yesterday (6:49am yesterday-5:53 am today, as well as the 11 votes she put in from work), including Bonanza, BSG, Buffy, Jericho, Angel, Babylon 5, Ponderosa, Dark Shadows, Blood Ties, all our friends with whom we share our success. We're on a sprint for the finish, Browncoats! Let's make sure the whole team gets across the finish line!

Also many thanks to those Big Damn Heroes who have been adding votes for Ponderosa and Bonanza! With our help (which our new westerns friends are graciously returning) Bonanza has reached their goal of 500,000 votes, and have been awarded a stand-alone, all day banner for their achievement! Congratulations to the Cartwright clan and their fans!

Dark Shadows is fighting hard to reach 150k, at 5.54 (7.06) days out, EXACTLY on schedule, with no wiggle room. However, with sustained intensified weekday voting, they could still find themselves behind, again! The Barnabas Browncoats were instrumental in helping achieve our unbroken record of 75 consecutive days at 1,000+ daily votes; many thanks to those who are boosting our friends towards their goal!

Babylon 5 is also 3.95 (5.67) days from reaching 200k, just TWO days ahead of the projected end of the Poll! They may be quiet, but the Babylonians have been good friends to us. Let's help get 'em over the finish line!

An estimated 5.69 (7.33) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting, and Firefly is now FOUR days AHEAD of schedule!

Our ultimate goal, 750,000, is 4,437 (7,295) votes, and 1.55 (4.22) days away (based solely on yesterday's total)! We need to maintain a minimum daily average of 740 (912) votes for the balance of the Poll to stay on track.

Congratulations Firefly fans for such a huge get out the vote turnout yesterday. I even voted the few times I could yesterday for Firefly and I've been voting mostly for Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Combat! Speaking of which, both Angel (never really watched a lot of Angel but surely love David Boreanaz as Agent Booth) and Combat! are neck and neck for the 250,000 TV Hall of fame, it would be a shame for both shows to have come so far and miss it by maybe a few hundred or thousand votes. So while we vote for Firefly to reach their goal of 750,000 could we all vote Angel and Combat! into the 9th and 10th place in Rich's TVHoF? For those not familiar with Combat! it is a WWII military show that follows a tight knit squad of men on their journey through Europe just after D Day. Many of us oldtimers remember watching Combat! in its original run with our dads who had been there. Thanks to all who take up the challenge and once again a huge congratulations to Firefly for achieving so many goals and setting so many benchmarks for other shows.
